The Devine is Divine

The Devine croco satchel is nicely patterned, gorgeously colored, deceptively roomy, lockable, divided, with convenient inner loops and easy to grasp handles. Sexy toys, lingerie, make-up... this bag could carry it all.
Published: March 26, 2009
Pros:
Roomy, divided, interior loops for small items, terrific pattern and color, lockable zipper.
Cons:
Divider isn't attached at bottom.

extremely useful review
I've been absolutely giddy about this bag all week.

I know giddy is a little bit over the top when it comes to a bag, but I can't help myself. I have a horrible, occasionally debilitating, addiction to pink bags and shoes. Especially soft, pale pink bags. And shoes. And phones. Er...

Back to the satchel.

I obviously chose the pink model, though it also comes in red and black. The Devine satchel is approximately fourteen inches long, six inches wide, and six inches deep. It has a faux crocodile print, PVC exterior, with a water resistant lining and gusseted sides for a bit of extra give when full.

The finish on the print is slightly shiny but tasteful; it looks like a "good" bag rather than some fake animal thing you'd get at the Dollar General. It's lightly textured with small, easy to grip matching handles.

The description says it has a fixed and an adjustable divider but mine only has the fixed. The divider separates the bag into two equal sections - which is perfect for organizing and finding toys. I loathe when a bag has no divider and my stuff tumbles, willy-nilly, all over itself. The divider isn't attached to the bottom of the bag, however, so things can slide underneath it.

The bottom of the satchel is firm to help keep it's shape and the interior has loops for holding things like lube, batteries or smaller toys. The top zips closed with a very awesome lockable zipper. (Small lock and two keys included. They're wrapped in paper at the bottom of the bag so be careful you don't accidentally toss them out!)

I'm quite seriously in love with this toy bag. It could easily be used as a make-up bag, a carry-on or even a purse as well as a storage container for toys.

I've been using it to keep my favorites in; the things I don't want to dig for. Right now it's holding the Lelo Liv and her charger, the Fun Factory Gigolo, a Phallix glass wand, the Evolved Duality Fusion, the California Exotics high intensity pink bullet, the Soju Sugar Drop in it's original packaging, some lube, batteries and a round tub of wipes -- and there is room to spare. I could very easily pack this thing twice as full without stretching or over-filling it. I've chosen to keep it only slightly full, however, since it's much easier to reach in and grab what you're looking for if the satchel isn't over packed.

I love, love, love this bag and would fight a mugger to keep it - even without the toys in it!

The Devine Croco Satchel is absolutely divine.
Experience
The description on the site states this bag is 9 1/2 inches long. Upon measuring and checking with the manufacturers site, it's actually 14 1/2 inches in length -- easily holding even larger toys.
Follow-up commentary
Did I mention when I reviewed it, that I love, love, LOVE this bag?

I do.

At this moment it contains: Two small bottles of KY 2 in 1 lube/massage oil, a handful of batteries, the Sugardrop, the Gigolo, another full sized Fun Factory toy, the Liv, my Glass Wand, the Laya Spot, a small bullet, the Little Su, a rabbit sleeve, the Jollie, Smartballs, the Evolved Desire, and a small round tub of wipes.

And it's not jam packed. Not bulging. It's got ROOM left in it, quite a bit of room, actually.

I LOVE this bag. I love it so much, I'm pretty sure I'm going to order a red one.

Thanks! I like it so much I had to drag out my (same color) pink purse today - even though it's really not "springlike" enough to be using it. Lol

We've been looking around for a lockable storage bag and this looks like the perfect bag. Thanks for the great review.

This would make a great purse, doncha think? Or isn't that the point of its disguise?

  • No More Divine Satchel? Noooooooo
    • Up until very recently the red was still in stock and the other colors out of stock. Suddenly, boom - discontinued. So sad :( I almost bought one but then the valentines day coupon came out and an eroscillator became a viable alternative. Now, I am racked with regret.

That does suck. You know what I'd love to see be a feature here? If something is going to be discontinued, could you possibly try to e-mail out everyone who has it on their wishlist? That would help deal with the regrets of not purchasing. :)
    • It's still available on the Devine site, though I have no idea for how much longer link
