Happy surprise
Even though ID Glide had to be reapplied a few times though a session, I still loved the feel of it. So far, ID Glide is one of my favorite water based lubes.Published: February 7, 2011
Pros:
One of the best water based lubes I have used
Cons:
Had to reapply
I have been looking back at my other reviews, and yes I do seem to go though lube the way some women go though perfume. Given the chance, and if my body would let me, I would be going through a bottle of some kind of lube a week. I will also give any kind of lube a shot, even if I'm not a fan of the brand. I know that I love the stuff and I do seem to need it more as time is going by.
ID Glide is a water based lube that has a very silky texture. It's odorless and tasteless. It won't stain sheets or fabrics at all. It's made from purified water, glycerin propylenen glycol cellulosen polymer polyethylene oxide, sodium benzoate, methyl parabenn carbomer 981, tetrahydroxypropyl, ethylenediamine, diazolidynl, and urea EDTA.
ID Glide comes in a variety of different types of bottles and sizes. Some are flip top bottles, flip top, squeezable tubes, and even pumps with caps on the bigger sizes.
The first time I came across ID Glide was actually at my doctor's office. She was using it with my annual and it really did help with that. I was also told about ID Glide from a porn actor friend of mine. He told me that it's one of his favorite water based lube. So, I did have to try my own.
For me, Glide was fair. It felt wonderful to start with, and lasted longer than most water based lubes that I have used. But I had to reapply it a few times for it to last though a session of sex or masturbation. It just couldn't hold up with my body chemistry. However, ID Glide is one of the best water based lubes that I have used at this point.
Even though it didn't hold up as well as some of my silicon lubes, ID Glide did hold it's own and I know that I will pick it up again.

Follow-up commentary
2 months after original review
Even though I haven't played with ID Glide in a while, it doesn't mean that I don't love it. I have since used it for a moisturizer and gods is it wonderful for that.

I received a sample and want to make sure it's the real thing before writing a review.

I got this sample with a wholesale order:

Is this the one EF is selling in larger bottles, so can I review it? -
It looks the same to me. If you're going to review it, do note that you have a smaller sample size tho.

It got pretty good ratings but it's like the worst thing I ever tried maybe 2/5. So not sure if it's just my personal preference or just plain different. Ingredients looks like the same tho. I read your durex warming review! I like that lube and use it to the day. This is far worse than that in terms of smell and performance. I got a premium silicone lube recently and I can finally understand why people gave 2/5 to the durex warming :) But I like it anyway, it's different. But made me realize what tacky really means and now I got a better picture.

Why is this product not sold in the same types of containers?
-
I am wondering why the different weights are sold in different containers. The 17.5 oz. container looks the best, but costs more. The 4 oz bottle looks weird, and I don't like it. They should be sold in same-looking containers. Any comments? Agreements?

I think it'd be much better if they made them all the same as you suggested. I guess they figure they're just giving people a choice in the way the lube is disposed?

Personally it doesn't bother me what the bottle looks like. Some I am sure are easier to conceal in a pocket or purse for the purpose of travel. Others do to their size like the one I baught being 35 oz. looks like a shampoo bottle and you could probably have out in the open as long as someone didn't take to close a look at it. I am sure they had their reasons for making the bottles the way they did.
