ID Fruitopia is a flavored, water-based lubricant that comes in six different flavors: Raspberry, Watermelon, Mango, Banana, Cherry, and Strawberry. Being flavored, it is mainly designed to make oral sex more interesting, but it can also double as a lubricant for vaginal penetration (I do not recommend it for anal, and I'll explain why below.)

Because it's sugar-free, Fruitopia is safe to use vaginally and should not cause a yeast infection. Most of the ingredients are natural for those of us with chemical sensitivities. It does contain glycerin, though, so women who have issues with that ingredient should avoid using this on their vaginal area.

The consistency is pretty thin as far as lubes go, the thinnest of four lubes that I have tried. If you put a dab on your finger, it will sit there for only a couple seconds before it runs. It does feel a bit sticky, but nothing too bad.

The pump top on the bottle is very nice and convenient for application. You only need one or two pumps for an adequate amount. When using it orally, your saliva thins it a bit, so a little does go a long way.

If you expect this lubricant to taste like real fruit, you will be disappointed. It does not taste like a real banana at all....more like banana-flavored candy. If you've ever had Wonka Fruit Runts candy, it tastes EXACTLY like the banana ones. Quite good, in my opinion. It smells delicious and makes my mouth water in anticipation.

Surprisingly, the flavor lasts a decent amount of time. It's not like you just lick it off and the taste is gone. I would say it lasts a good 3-5 minutes.

Fruitopia performs great as an oral lube. It lasts a reasonable amount of time, and the taste/aroma are very pleasant. If you don't care for the taste of your partner's juices, this will cover it up very well. Even if you don't mind them, I still recommend this product as a way to spice up your oral session.

Although I was (and still am) somewhat reluctant to have something flavored inside of me, for review purposes, I decided to use this as a vaginal lubricant. It was decent, but not my favorite. I personally prefer a thicker lube. Because it is so thin, I can't recommend it for anal use. It also gets a bit sticky/gummy, which is not ideal. The good news is that Fruitopia didn't cause any negative reactions for me. No itching, burning, nothing. I'm not particularly sensitive to glycerin, but some chemicals can trigger a reaction. This lube was just fine, which I expected from the ingredients list.

I really love the packaging. It's attractive and sleek-looking and doesn't scream "sex" or "lube" in any way. Some basic information is listed on the back in several languages. The ingredients are also provided: water, glycerin, hydroxyethylcellulose, sodium benzoate, citric acid, natural flavor.

I haven't traveled with this lube, so I can't say if the tube leaks or not. I would put it in a plastic Ziploc bag just in case. It is a convenient size at 3.4 ounces. Probably too large for a carry-on, but it won't take up much space in your checked bag.

Other than flavor, none.

This was my first flavored lube. I'd avoided all the others because I didn't want to ingest things like parabens and propylene glycol (antifreeze!) I'm very happy to have found a somewhat natural lubricant that my husband and I can enjoy. Granted, it's not perfect-it does have sodium benzoate which is a preservative, but it's not like we're ingesting this in huge quantities. I can't wait to try some of the other flavors!
