Not worth the money
Decent lube when you get it in the small, trial packets, but not worth the money for the bottle. Too sticky for water-based lube.Published: July 25, 2010
Pros:
A little goes a long way
Cons:
Sticky, stains sheets
Last year I was an RA at my school. All RAs got bags of different kinds of condoms and lubes for residents to use. Of course, I helped myself to some as well. The only lube in the bag at the time was ID Glide. I used it by myself and with my boyfriend.
A little bit goes a LONG way with this lube. I put a pea size amount on my finger & it felt like I used way too much. When using it with a partner, it's not as overwhelming and works very well. Since you only need a little bit at a time, even the 1oz. will last you a while.
It says it is water based, colorless, odorless, and stain-free, but I disagree with a lot of that.
Water-based: it might be, but it's SO sticky for some reason. I got some on my hands when I was closing the bottle (after use) and I just wanted to wash my hands. I am not a big fan of non-water based lubes, so this might just be a personal taste.
Colorless & odorless: It's clear, so it is colorless. But there is a slight scent. I can't really tell the exact smell, but it's not bad. And when you're using it, you don't notice it. It is more when you open the bottle.
Stain-free: Yeah right! This lube stained the crap out of my sheets! I had a set of jersey cotton sheets & luckily the stain came out when I washed them. But my other set of satiny cotton sheets STILL had a small stain on them even after I washed them. I wasn't thrilled.
If I HAD to use this lube again, I would. But I rather use plain old water. At least that won't be all sticky & stain my sheets.

I received a sample and want to make sure it's the real thing before writing a review.

I got this sample with a wholesale order:

Is this the one EF is selling in larger bottles, so can I review it? -
It looks the same to me. If you're going to review it, do note that you have a smaller sample size tho.

It got pretty good ratings but it's like the worst thing I ever tried maybe 2/5. So not sure if it's just my personal preference or just plain different. Ingredients looks like the same tho. I read your durex warming review! I like that lube and use it to the day. This is far worse than that in terms of smell and performance. I got a premium silicone lube recently and I can finally understand why people gave 2/5 to the durex warming :) But I like it anyway, it's different. But made me realize what tacky really means and now I got a better picture.

Why is this product not sold in the same types of containers?
-
I am wondering why the different weights are sold in different containers. The 17.5 oz. container looks the best, but costs more. The 4 oz bottle looks weird, and I don't like it. They should be sold in same-looking containers. Any comments? Agreements?

I think it'd be much better if they made them all the same as you suggested. I guess they figure they're just giving people a choice in the way the lube is disposed?

Personally it doesn't bother me what the bottle looks like. Some I am sure are easier to conceal in a pocket or purse for the purpose of travel. Others do to their size like the one I baught being 35 oz. looks like a shampoo bottle and you could probably have out in the open as long as someone didn't take to close a look at it. I am sure they had their reasons for making the bottles the way they did.

Thank you for viewing ID glide – lubricant review page!

Yea a lot of Id products are not great in my opinion.
I highly recommend using the extended template. It really helps!
Thanks for the review
Thanks for the review.
Ugh, nothing like a sheet staining lube to put you off it.
Thanks for the review!
Good job on the review, you may want to add a bit more detail to it
This is the first review of this stuff that mentioned sheet staining - a definite negative , especially for water based lube.
Thank you for the review.
