Lube XXX original - lubricant discontinued by Joyful Pleasures - review by js250

The label on the Lube XXX states 'for men only', but they are sooo wrong! My husband liked the feel and longevity of this lube for his solos, non-silicone toys and penetration. I liked this lube during penetration, when playing with my vibrators and other non silicone toys and masturbation.

This is a perfect silicone/water based lube for beginners to try and would work fairly well for intermediate to advanced users as well. I like the thin but slick feeling and the longevity. The major drawback we had was having to wash it off prior to playing with our silicone toys.

The bottle top needs to be removed prior to using, so you can peel the foil seal off the top. It has a push top and the lube pours easily from the opening. Be careful to re-seal the top after application or you will end up with a big mess! We did not get the top pushed all the way down and had a puddle of lube on our blanket, well, we made the best of it and had some really messy massage sex. This silicone/water lube ended up in my long hair and I was terrified. The first and last time we tried silicone lube it also got in my hair and I had to wash it with shampoo for about six hours. There was still a bit of oily feeling left, but I was so exhausted I waited until morning and repeated the process.

The texture is a bit thin and does run a little bit. It feels slick and sensual but with a bit of a rub to it, must be the silicone? I liked it since it resembles a natural wetness but was still a bit leery of this product due to previous experience. The small bit of 'rub' acted as a non-irritating friction and really enhanced the feelings for both my husband and me. There was no oily or greasy feeling, just a sensual, slick slide.

The first hing I did upon opening the bottle was to smell the lube. It does have a light fragrance that does dissipate after about 15 minutes. It reminds me of a lightly floral but spicy Jergens hand lotion. It was very light and not noticeable until you had your nose close to the lubed area.

The taste reminds me of the smell of antifreeze. Sorry, it really isn't bad, just kind of a chemically sweet but lightly bitter flavor. It was not that unpleasant, however I will wash this off my husband prior to oral sex. I amazingly had NO residue in my mouth!!

This product, when used appropriately the second time, lasted during our solos for about 25-35 minutes. He had to apply before I did, but a small amount really went a long ways. This 5.1 ounce bottle is going to last quite awhile barring any other mishaps with the lid. When we Used it the first time we were slick and slippery for hours!!

The Lube XXX absorbed nicely and did not leave a residue. There was a slight tackiness right before absorbing into the skin but nothing irritating. There were no gummy balls or other disgusting and unpleasant textures with the Lube XXX.

When we washed off, it came off really easily with soap and water. We scrubbed once and was clean and residue free. I am very happy with his product! I love the slickness and clean up.

My least favorite part of using this lube is trying to remember to wash off prior to using my silicone toys. I do not like the interruption, but I would also be very unhappy if I damaged my other items by mixing the silicones.

Lube XXX is a 2-in-1 silicone & water based lubricant made in Germany. The back has some claims that I though was a bit over the top, but I did try a few.
