Wet is definitely...wet
In the end, it's a good lube for masturbating/toying. It can leave your insides feeling a little greasy after play though.Published: January 7, 2011
Pros:
Nice and slick
Cons:
Feels a greasy feeling afterward
This lube does its job. It's not too gel-like, but not exactly watery either. When you're in need of your lube-fix, you can just run to a local drug-store and pick up some of this lube.
Its smell is kind of like baby oil... Taste: I don't know - it's not a flavored lube, so I'm not bothering.
This lube definitely stands by its name. It doesn't dry out very quickly and lasts a good while. So, if you're looking for a lube that lasts, I highly suggest Wet Original.
I got a 3.5 fl. oz bottle (not very big, but not very small), so I'd say this lube is travel-friendly if you stick it in a purse or in a bag. The bottle itself is fantastic. All you need to do is squeeze it softly, then the lube will come out.`Awesome flip-top, too!
My first experience with this lube was anally. I got my toy, put a few drops of lube on it to get it slicked up, then went to work with it. I had also put a little bit of lube around my hole, but I still found myself feeling a slight pain while penetrating it. So, I slicked some more lube around my toy/my hole and my toy just slid right in.
I use this lube for masturbation and toying. My body reacts just fine to it - no irritation or anything. It does leave my insides feeling a little greasy though, especially my anus.
It's a great little lube for those who have silicone toys, slicking it up very nice.
Storing is easy, as the bottle is fairly tiny. Just hide it in your toy box or toy shelf or wherever you happen to store your toys.
As for cleaning up: water, soap, a rag or some wipes. Pretty simple.

Follow-up commentary
5 months after original review
After I got my hands on Cumlube (lubricant from another website that makes their own lubricant), I stopped using Wet completely. I don't know if all the Wet products feel as greasy and slimy as this one, but if they do, I think I'll just stick to Cumlube.

I have been using ID pleasure for years. I tried WET and it seemed to be a bit more watered down to me. Not a bad thing just not my thing.
Anyonee lse have this going for you too? -
I used to hate Wet products, they came off as cheap.
Until I tried their synergy line. I fell in love with both the original, and the tingle lubricant.
The Synergy is water and silicone mixed, which produces a gel. I hate water down lubricants.
As long as you don't use it with silicone toys, its fine. -
I used to feel the same way about wet

Why not the same looking containers for this product?

Why is the 3.5, the 4.8, and the 10 oz bottles of this lubricant sold in cool looking bottles, while the 0.8 amount and the 1.5 sold in smaller, weirder shapes? Why not miniatures of the cooler versions? Why a toothpaste looking bottle and a hand sanitizer looking bottle? Comments? Agreements?

Agreements?I'd assume that's just the bottles that the manufacturers felt were best for their item. Certain sizes will do better certain ways because of how they have to flex to squeeze the lube out.
Personally I don't care either way for stuff like this, none of the bottles are something I would want to display and the ease of use on all of them seems about the same, so it's not going to make a difference to me between the options. -

Agreements? At the size of the bottles for those smaller ones, the "neat" bottle wouldn't work. The little "handle hold" on the side of the bottle would actually be the entire length of the bottle. There just isn't enough product to warrant making the bigger bottle. However, if you contact Wet Lubricants, they always take suggestions well and could explain it further.

Thank you for viewing Wet gel lubricant review page!

You mention soap for cleaning. Since this is water based, does it easily rinse away with just water or does there seem to be a film that needs some soap to get rid of? Also, ingredients like glycerin and parabens might be worth mentioning.
This is good for a first review. You need to think a little outside the box though when it comes to reviewing, such as the fact that yes, it's not a lube to eat, but some people want to know the taste lest they give oral while using it at some point.
Also, do mention ingredients as was said, it helps those to know if they'll be allergic to it or not, or if they want Vegan friendly lubes only.
Also, another tip is to say if it stains or not, and what it feels like when dried. Some lubes leave a nasty residue, some do not. And be sure to mention the viscosity of the lube, too--not everyone likes thin or thick lubes!
Can't wait to read more, it's a challenge, but practice makes perfect.
