System JO personal warming anal lubricant by System JO - review by ~LaUr3n~

I'm not sure if it's because my bottle is close to its expiration date or what but I can barely feel any warming from this minty smelling goodness. The lubricant itself is thick, slick, and has an amazing texture. It says it is an anal lubricant, but it can totally be used for all sorts of situations. It's great with any toys vaginally or anally and can even be used as a massage oil of jack off lube! Like titty fucking? This feels great in between my breasts too. So warming or without, this lubricant is a win-win for me. It's even excellent for use in the shower. The lubricant is long lasting and never gets sticky. The ingredient list is not alarming and it has never caused an unwanted reaction for me. It's even safe with latex condoms. JO products are recommended worldwide by doctors and pharmacists! It also follows FDA guidlines and is made in the United States.

It's ingredients are as follows (from the package):
Polydimethylsiloxane, Decamethylsyclopentasiloxane, Octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane, Dimethylsiloxane, Hydroxy-terminated, Capsium, Peppermint

This lubricant is safe by also not having L-Arginine, Petro-chemicals, or parabens. It is glycerin free too. Specially formulated, it won't clog your pores.

These are exacting the same lubricants as the non-anal version: link. This is pretty lame in my opinion. It also makes me wonder why I can't feel the warming as much. I can only assume it is due to the expiration date which expires in two months.

The most interesting ingredient is Capsium. It can be found in pepper spray. It is a spice derived from the plant Capsicum and is used in many spicy food dishes, mostly Indian. The Bell Pepper is the fruit of this plant which is much more readily available. Capsicum when ground is more commonly known as Cayenne pepper, a common cooking ingredient. Warming is not required to feel the effects, it activates on contact.

All Jo silicone lubricants are superior to others in my collection. This stuff is thick but still easy to spread around and it stays put. There's a reason for that. It is the highest grade of silicone in the entire world. It's very smooth, never sticky, and rarely needs reapplication. A small amount goes a long way and makes a huge difference during sex and with toys. The best way to describe it is that it's like liquid makeup remover, the kind that feels like a high end oil. After it gets absorbs, it makes the skin feel very soft.

The package says it is fragrance free, but that isn't true. It smells of mints! I think it smells really good, but it isn't a very strong smell. It also doesn't longer on the skin or in the air. The lubricant is unflavored. Even though it is unflavored, I would not recommend it for oral. I'd wash off first.

I'll talk about the warming first since there isn't much to say about it. I can barely feel it! Again, I'm guessing this is due to it being close to its expiration date. Other warming products from JO have been mild, but not this non-existent. You can expect it to be mild and not at all distracting. Actually, it may also feel like a cooling or tingling on certain materials.

Anal sex:

Since a little goes a long way, you won't have a big mess to deal with. Silicone based lubricants can often feel messier (unless the water based one gets sticky) because of their oily feel. Even though this one is like a thick oil, it absorbs and creates a thin silicone film on the skin causing anything else with that same film or smooth surface to glide easily. The sensations are not at all irritating to the anus and the mix of cooling and warming sensations are incredibly unique. The slickness definitely makes anal sex easier and much more enjoyable with less room for possible discomfort.

Vaginal Sex:

We love this lubricant for sex because it never feels nasty. Anally we care more about the function of the lubricant and whether or not it makes sex easier, but vaginally we care more about feel in terms of how much clean up is needed and what it feels like to touch because we often use our hands and switch things up between positions. It can even be used as a clitoral exciter by using a drop and rubbing it in prior to sex.

Toys:

Being that this is advertised as being specifically for anal play, I first tried it with anal toys. I used a variety of glass wands since I had such an amazing experience with my last try at warming silicone lubricants with glass. A very small amount is needed for use with glass, plastic, wood, and steel. This is try even if you are using the toys anally! The warming feeling takes a little longer to be felt than when it is being used for sex, but when it does come, it's very nice and really adds to the experience and sensations.

This lubricant is used in such small amounts that my partner and don't feel like we need to wash it off right away. There have been a few times where I have forgotten about it and within an hour or so the lubricant is all absorbed and has simple left the skin feeling smooth. It also washes off of toys easily too, but will need soap to do so. Speaking of washing, this is an excellent shower lubricant!

I like the simple medicinal looking bottles that JO uses. They are simple but still attractive and discreet. This product comes in comes in 2.5, 4.5, and 8 ounce bottles, but only the 2.5 and 4.5 versions are available on Eden, currently. The recyclable bottles are clear and rounded with black push open tops.



The bottle's sexual language is small except for the word ANAL which is written sideways and is in a red color. It's still discreet, though. It'll mix well with other hygiene like items. The bottle can leak if it is stored on its side for a long time, but it is suitable for travel. The back says the expiration date. Mine expires 03/2012 but I've had it since 2009. I haven't used it much since I have so many JO items that are silicone, anal, or warming. I do know that the smaller size of 2.5 ounces will last a long time even if
this is your go-to for everything lubricant. It totally can be too!

The only thing they should improve for the packaging is how the expiration date is printed. I barely touched this bottle while it was stored in my huge box of things to still review and somehow the expiration date still got rubbed off.


Right above my finger you can barely see some black remnants of the expiration date. I have to tilt it in certain lighting to be able to see what it used to say.

Do not use this lubricant with silicone toys. It can ruin them. Resist the urge!
