Fairytale princess is a form fitting somewhat sexy Halloween costume. The set comes with the dress and an apple purse. To start with the purse is a very basic envelope type purse with a Velcro closure. It has a 32 inch ribbon strap so it hangs 16 inches and artificial type greenery leaves sewn to it. It is 9.5 inches by 7 inches. You can carry your phone and little necessities in it for your night out at the Halloween party.





The dress is actually very well constructed, I was worried when I read some of the other costume reviews that spoke about the poor quality with threads and strings everywhere. I found this costume to be of very good quality and I believe that it will stand up for many parties and many years. The dress has short sleeves with details on the sleeves with the red ribbons that actually have gold trim sewn into them.



The dress has a white collar that is attached to the bust area with red piping. The collar is stiff enough that it could be worn up or down. The top portion is made from bright blue spandex, it is form fitting and has faux boning in yellow sewn to the top. The way that the faux boning is placed accentuates your bust and makes you look “full busted”. In the center of the chest is a large red ribbon that is sewn to look like it is laced up the front. Again, this has great construction and all of the boning and ribbon are securely fastened on. I wouldn’t worry about any of this coming apart.





The skirt is made from nylon, it is bright, bright yellow. Honestly I hate yellow with a passion, there is absolutely nothing yellow in my house but this costume is soo cute I will deal with the yellow and even put it on my body! The costume has a full skirt that hits me approximately 3 inches above my knees. It is full enough to wear a petticoat or crinolines underneath to add some extra body to it. The entire hem of the skirt is edged in lace. In the middle of the back sit’s a large red bow. The entire back is covered above your bras strap area with the blue spandex.





According to the tag, the costume is 90% nylon and 10% spandex. Hand wash only and hang to dry.

I purchased a M/L. I wear a women’s size 8 to 10 depending on what day it is. My bust is 36 C. Waist is 34. Hips 38. This fit perfectly. Not to tight and not baggy. The spandex does allow for the bulge with tight undergarments to show.

The colors used in this costume are bright and vibrant. My young adult son said that I looked almost animated with it on. I plan on actually wearing this to the Disney World Halloween party. It is modestly covering and appropriate to wear around children.

Now to accessorize, I believe that a red satin headband is in order. I cannot decide if I want Red or White crinolines underneath, both would work. A pair of opaque thigh highs red or white or sheer would sex this up a bit. A pair of the opaque knee highs in red or white would look good too. Definitely red patent leather Mary Jane high heels and possibly little white gloves to complete the look. Decisions, decisions.


Of course the Apple is a necessary prop!

I have already worn this out for a pre Halloween party and everyone loved it. I like the way that it fits and it is non binding and looks great. As I said this is appropriate for all ages and is a great costume!!
