Seducing dancer gown - gown discontinued by DreamGirl - review by spookycutie

I've been wanting a long nightgown for quite some time now, and when I saw this one, I instantly wanted it. It looks practical, and comfortable enough to sleep in (no lace, ties, or anything too intricate) and also: it/ comes in black. I'm happy with this, and will wear it often.

Aesthetically, this gown is beyond pleasing. I'm usually not one to like such simple pieces, but for a gown I can wear to bed and feel pretty in, this definitely hit the mark. The mesh around the neck and chest I could do without, but overall this is still very pretty. The shape of the "cup" area is a little strange, with the dip going down fairly low...I only wear a 34D, so on me, this wasn't a problem, but on ladies with larger busts, I think this might not look that great - unless they're OK with some 'spillage.' This definitely seemed to minimize my breasts, as well - which is fine with me, since again, I'm only wearing this to sleep.

One thing that bothers me is the slit. On me, the slit is definitely nowhere near the side of the gown - very close to the middle, actually. My thighs are gigantic, so this doesn't look too cute having a full-frontal thunder thigh deal...but whatever, my boyfriend thinks it looks sexy so OH WELL.

I'm about 5'7" and this hit me right at the ankle---perfect! Any longer and I'd worry about stepping on it or trailing it across the floor, any shorter and it would look ridiculous.

The straps are a nightmare. It took me (not even kidding) probably 10 minutes to get them to lay flat and be on the right way. I tried this as a halter, and while it didn't look bad, the straps were all wrinkled and wrapped around each other - not comfortable. Once I got them right (crossed in the back) it was so much better. So, that's an issue...straps that aren't simple!

The quality of this pieces feels top-notch for the price range. There were no loose threads or frayed edges, and the material seems fairly durable and nice.
