How to Wear:
The great thing about this dress is that it's suitable to wear in public. For me (at 5'6"), this dress is long enough to wear without anything under it; and it looks GREAT with bare legs.

You can pair it with a great pair of stockings, or even a pair of leggings, if you're on the modest side.

However you wear it, I'd recommend adding in a great pair of high heels for a look that is sure to turn heads.

Material and Care:
This dress is made out of 92% Polyester and 8% Spandex.

The material feels almost silky to the touch. It is very comfortable against my skin; almost like wearing nothing at all, but still having all of the important bits covered.

The fabric is also very thin. Now, this means that when you hold the dress up to the light, you can sort of see through it. Don't worry though, the material is NOT see through when the dress is on.

It should also be noted that the material is very stretchy. As with most fabrics, the more you stretch the material, the more sheer it becomes. Unfortunately this makes it so that the dress won't really accommodate larger sizes.

To care for this dress, it's recommended that you hand wash it in cold water, and then hang it to dry.

Also, you should not iron this piece; but then, ironing shouldn't be needed, as this dress is meant to look sort of wrinkled/"scrunched up", and ironing would just detract from the look.

Sizing:
Leg Avenue has made this dress available in two sizes; SM and ML. I choose to go with ML.

According to the size chart, an ML should fit someone with the following measurements:

Dress Size: 10-14
Cup Size: B-C
Bust: 34-38"
Waist: 25-29"
Hips: 36-40"

I typically wear a large C or small D cup. I fit the measurements for the bust size, however my waist is a 32". My hips, at 40" are right on the edge of the size chart. As such, I didn't have high hopes for this dress fitting.

I was pleasantly surprised, however, that this dress fit me well.

When I first slipped this dress over my head, it did take me a moment or two to get my breasts past the waistline of the dress. This is because the waistline is meant to be snug, and obviously the waist is a bit smaller than my breasts. With a little effort, however, I was able to fit in just fine, and the dress was very comfortable while on.

Once the dress is on, I feel like the cup and bust size doesn't really matter. This is because there's a lot of room in the top of the dress due to the flow-y nature of it.

The waist and hips, on the other hand, do matter. I would say this dress can accommodate no larger than a 32" waist comfortably. And honestly, the 40" hips are almost pushing it. It should also be noted that my bottom is, well..round, and full. This dress accommodates my bottom better than many other dresses do.

If your waist and hips are larger, sadly, this dress is probably not for you.

Now, length...
I saw another review that said this dress was much too short, but this was not my experience at all. At 5'6", I was able to pull this dress so that it went almost all the way down to my knees. Of course in pulling it this far, the fabric was not "scrunched" like it's supposed to be, but even with wearing the dress with the fabric scrunched up, I was able to pull this down so that it covered my bottom and still looked good.

If you're much taller than 5'6", the dress might be too short for you, but otherwise, the length should be okay. If you do find it's too short, don't worry! This dress looks great with a pair of leggings.
Experience
Design:
This is a simple black dress with gorgeous rhinestone accents. The rhinestones do make this dress a bit fancier, so this isn't really a daytime, casual wear dress.

The straps of the dress are meant to be worn on your shoulders, allowing the bust portion to sort of flow. This looks okay, but I personally prefer to wear this dress with one of the straps hanging off of my shoulder. I feel that this makes for a much sexier look.

The body of the dress is seamed in such a way that the material looks as though it's "scrunched". In my experience, this look makes the dress very forgiving of flaws.

Be aware that this dress is meant to be tight fitting, so those that don't want to show off their curves may be best buying something else.

Now, as for bust support... this dress doesn't offer any, and unfortunately, the style makes it difficult to wear a bra with it. This being said, I was able to make a strapless bra work with this dress.

Packaging:
This dress came simply packaged in a plastic bag. There was no hanger included.

Quality:
Overall, the quality of this dress is pretty good for the price.

The rhinestones on the straps appear to be sturdy. I don't feel that they'll fall off anytime soon, so long as the dress is properly cared for.

There were a few loose threads, but they were easily snipped off with a pair of scissors.
Follow-up commentary
This isn't my favorite dress, but I do love it. It's very comfortable, and it's incredibly sexy. I wore it out to a dinner once, and I was told by many people that I looked both sexy and classy.

This dress looks so nice but from your description of the length I'll have to pass. I'm 5'3 and if it fits you at the knees it'll be way too long for me
  • Contributor: SMichelle
tripod, it only fits to my knees if I pull it all the way down (so that the material lays flat, rather than scrunched up as it does in the picture),

At 5'3", you should be able to wear this just fine, as the dress is meant to look sort of scrunched up.

Thank you for sharing. I read that other review too and it just wasn't that helpful in describing the dress at all. I'm glad you went into detail about it so I can get a better picture of it. Thank you!

Geogeo, I hope you love it! It really is a great dress.. It is, of course, meant to be worn as a mini-dress, but as I said, I had no trouble covering up what needs to be covered.
