Burlesque pink chemise and thong - chemise discontinued by DreamGirl - review by Beck

Dream Girl presents burlesque chemise with matching thong and stockings included. This chemise is only appropriately worn in your own privacy and is not something you are going to want to walk around town in.

The chemise is made out of three different materials. Where the hot pink color is located, that is 100% polyester. The black area of the chemise is made of 90% nylon and 10% spandex. The nylon can be itchy on your skin, especially the back since it is all nylon and when you are leaned against something. The thong is made of 100% polyester and the stockings are not marked, but I am sure they are nylon.

The chemise is colored black and hot pink, but the majority of the chemise is the black see thru nylon lace. The straps that to hold this chemise up is really thin and weak, they can be detached making the chemise strapless also. The straps are 1.4” thick, they have a plastic adjuster on them, and they have the plastic pieces for easy removing. These plastic pieces slide right in on little loops attached to the chemise, one on the back and one on the bra cups. The bra cups are pink polyester on the outside and black polyester on the inside. There is an under wire to help support your breast. The cups are more cone shaped and there is a stitched seam in the middle of the cups that makes them more pointy looking. Half of the bra cups have black lace with a floral pattern covering them, but in my opinion does not really look right. In between the two cups is a black ribbon bow which is pretty cute. Underneath the bow and from middle point of each cups, down to the bottom of the chemise is the hot pink polyester, that is covered by the floral patterned lace, which it outlined with black nylon ruffles. On the sides of this hot pink area is black nylon with a polka-dotted pattern to it, this stops at the seams on the side and the back is completely plain nylon with a seam in the middle. At the bottom of the chemise on each side is black ribbon pull strings to shorten the chemise and give a bunched up effect, the ribbon is very long and you need to tie it once you adjust it. Along the whole bottom of the chemise is and elastic band with an attached black nylon ruffle with the polka-dotted pattern to it. Where the hot pink area is located at the bottom, there are tow attached ribbon bows, just like the one between the cups, but underneath is attached garters. These garters can be removed, but the same kind plastic pieces that remove the straps. The two front ones have a hot pink ribbon attached to them, so the plastic adjusters only work to that point, but the back ones are plain. The garters have clips to hold up stockings, the clips are plastic with the rubber back that slides down to lock in place.

The thong is an elastic ¼” waist band with two attached elastic bands that V down from one side of the waist band to the back. The thong part is not a string there is about 2 ½” at the top of the back and about 1 ½” at the middle point. The front top is about 4” long; the thong is black nylon with the polka-dotted pattern to it. There is about 5”long and 2.5” wide panty liner attach to the thong. There is a large tag on the back of this thong, you are going to want to cut if off, but the tag does say it is not one size fits all. The size you order is the size of the thong also.

The stockings are plain black silky nylon. They are nothing special, there is no elastic band to help them stay on and they only come up about 20” which for 5’ 3”me is just right above the knee cap. They do have two seams at the toe part also. I recommend getting a better pair to go with your chemise. They roll down my 16" top of the knee.

So according to the chart I fall some where in between the Large and the 1x/2x, so I always got with the larger size, since my bust is very large. I say the size chart is pretty accurate; there is room for someone who measures larger than I do. The only issue is the cups, they say D-DD which I say is accurate but they do not fit me, which I am a DDD. I can still wear this it just does not support mine and the wire is only under half of my breast, rather than the whole thing. If there was no wire I would be able to wear this. For anyone who gets the chemise who falls under a DD, they bra area should work for you and provide support, just not my size breast.

The chemise is recommended to be dry cleaned only. The thong and stockings are recommended to be hand washed. Dry cleaning is something I have never done, it is probably best to do as the tag suggest, but for those who are like me hear is some washing instructions.


The chemise set comes wrapped in hot pink tissue paper with a dream girl tag. The stockings do come in their own plastic bag. I would add some tape and you have a presentable gift.

Overall I am giving these 4 stars, because with the added under wire it requires you fit that size cup, other than that it is really nice set and well worth it.

This chemise never really worked for me. The issue was the cup area and since breast size doesn't usually go down, that didn't change.

I have gifted it out to someone who was more suited for the size.
