Industrial net stockings - hosiery by Leg Avenue - review by darthkitt3n

I recently purchased these stockings in black to go with a lingerie set that included a garter belt. This is really my first pair of lingerie stockings. I’ve worn thigh highs under a dress a couple of times, but that’s it.

The industrial net stockings come in a small cardboard sleeve just like most other tights or stockings. I had a bit of trouble removing the cardboard insert from the one stocking, since these are fishnets. It just kept catching in the stocking. Eventually I got it out without any damage. I keep my pair folded in the cardboard sleeve, just to keep them from getting caught on anything or one of them getting lost.

The stockings look exactly how they are pictured on the model, with the exception of the toe area. The ones I received have a reinforced nylon material on the toes. I actually preferred that, since I don’t think having fishnet between my toes would be comfortable. This also means my somewhat hideous toe is not visible. These do not have a control top area, so they don’t stay up very well on their own. When I put them on and walked around with them on by themselves, they fell down pretty quickly. You would need a garter belt to hold these up.

Even though these are very cheaply priced, they are not cheap feeling at all. They are very soft and stretchy. The material is a blend of 96% nylon and 4% spandex. The netting is pretty thick and is not itchy feeling at all. One of my garter straps somehow got itself pulled off of the one stocking and did not manage to rip through the stocking at all.

Unstretched, they measure about 25 inches long. I was able to comfortably stretch them up about 38 inches, which covers my foot and leg. I’m 5’8” and have a US size 10 in women’s shoe. The top part of my thigh, where these rested, is 21 inches around and I did not feel any binding on my thigh at all. These should be able to accommodate a good variety of sizes, though how they look depends on the amount of stretching they need to do. Less stretching means the fishnet is much closer together, like on the mannequin in the product’s picture. The packaging says that these will fit from 90 to 160 pounds, though really I would not go by weight. My mom is a larger woman and she has really thin legs. Hers are a bit smaller than mine. I was able to stretch these to about 14 inches across, which means they should be able to stretch up to 28 inches. Basically, this means these will fit anyone whose legs measure 28 inches or less at any point. After taking these off and washing them, they have returned to the size they were when I first opened them, so if they do get stretched a lot, they won’t look baggy.

To wash these, I would suggest either hand washing or putting them in a lingerie bag on the gentle cycle in a washing machine. They can then either be hung up to dry or thrown in the dryer on a lower heat gentle cycle.

I’m definitely impressed with these stockings. I wasn’t expecting a great product for only $4, especially considering Wal-Mart’s George brand fishnet pantyhose are the same price in my local store. These are also available in pink, red, and white, so there are a good variety of colors to match with different lingerie sets.
