Fence net thigh high - thigh highs discontinued by Leg Avenue - review by ~LaUr3n~

Looking for some inexpensive stockings? These are a good option, but may not be comfortable for everyone so head my sizing warnings. They are also available in 5 more colors if you need some variety: red, white, nude, blue, baby pink, and purple.

*Contents/overview:

This is a set of industrial net, closed toe, reinforced thigh band, stockings. For those who are confused or do not know, industrial net means that the net holes are wider than fishnet. They do have a "control top" for the thighs, so they can be worn with or without garters, but are easiest to wear without.

*Material:

These stockings are made of nylon. The toes are not reinforced. For me, I just put my toes through the holes when I wear high heels. This may be uncomfortable for some people. The material stretches a good amount, perhaps too much since they seem to stretch out easier than others I own.

*Design/craftsmanship:

Like I said above, these stretch out easily. They are cheaply made and the control top portion is just a thick band of nylon with no designs. They are comfortable to wear when they fit and the material isn't itchy or irritating.

When attached to garters, you have to bunch the material to include the garter which is too thick. They stand up just fine without garters, so I only wear them if the outfit requires it. The industrial net is pretty thick, much thicker than traditional fishnet, which is harder to rip.

*Cleaning/care/storage:

Cleaning industrial nets can be tricky. Best way to clean them is by hand washing them and hanging them to drip dry. If you have to put them in a washing machine, put them in a pillow case, laundry sock, or other fabric sack to prevent them from snagging on the machine or other things. Dry on delicate and don't leave in longer than 10 minutes. It doesn't take longer than that.

When storing, just make sure they are not in a moist area. Nothing special needed here.

*Sizing:

These are a bit small in the band, but fit great otherwise. The packaging says 90-160 pounds but I think that they won't fit that entire range unless you have very slim thighs-more like 90-140. I don't think these would fit thighs that are more than 22" around, comfortably. You can always make a small slit in the side of the band to accommodate until you feel comfortable. I think that the band is small enough that even if you have small thighs, they will stay up.

I also measured the length of my legs. Mine seem to be about 31" long. I had plenty of stretch room. When I stretched the stockings they went to 36" comfortably without too much effort. So these can be worn by taller women as well. I am 5'6", so these could be worn by someone a few inches taller as well.

*Conclusion: I'm giving these 4 stars. The sizing is a bit off, but would work well if you are in that range. I just made a little adjustment and they look awesome. They are inexpensive, so you can't go wrong anyways!

These have held up well during washing, but have not held up well with shoes. The feet have ripped in some places. Soon I'll need new ones because they won't feet any more lol. I think it is because of dancing and all the different heels I have that put wear on the fabric causing it to fray. Next time I'll be buying more than one pair!
