"Something old, something new. Something borrowed, something blue." This Leg Garter was my "something blue" on my wedding night. It is very pretty and it matched my wedding colors so I grabbed it along with some cute white bridal lingerie. But the garter is the thing that tied the whole outfit together and I looked great for my new husband on our special night.

This is to be worn between the knee and the butt and is generally worn with lingerie that doesn't cover that length such as a teddy or babydoll dress. Traditionally, the leg garter is rolled down the leg during the wedding party and is thrown to the men similar to how we ladies throw our bouquets. I, however, left it on for the bedroom, so he could take it off with his teeth!

The garter is made up of cinched white lace and is lined with blue tulle and topped with a white satin bow. It's very light and can be folded easily. The inside has nylon to give it the stretch that is has to fit different sized legs. I'm a size 14 and it fit nicely. The price ($5.99) is excellent; especially with wedding dresses being so expensive it was a treat to buy something that wasn't for a change!

The leg garter is a bit scratchy, but not too bad. I'm not sure if the scratchy feeling was from the lace itself or from the stitching on the inside of the leg garter. The lace felt a bit starchy so I would recommend, prior to wear, to hand wash it with some fabric softener to lessen the chances of irritation.

This is a great garter to have around in the lingerie drawer. Or, if worn for a wedding it would also be a great keepsake for those wedding memories.

Of course I still like this, it was worn on my wedding night! I'm keeping this as a keepsake. It still serves its purpose when I wear white or blue colored lingerie pieces. This girl has got to match!
