The bad cop - costume discontinued by Leg Avenue - review by Breas

The Bad Cop costume by Leg Avenue is available in size XS, ML, and XL. I purchased the outfit in size XL. The outfit arrived in a plastic bag attached to a hanger. The bag has a snap closure. Inside of the bag there is a cardboard insert. The cardboard insert states the company name, product name, packaging contents, size, care instructions, material composition, company contact information, and there is a photo of a model wearing the outfit. The packaging is nice to store undies or stockings in, though I don’t keep the costume in the bag. I prefer keeping the costume in a drawer or in my closet.



The outfit includes 4 pieces; the dress, tie, hat, and waist cincher. The dress was wrapped around a thin piece of cardboard, the tie and waist cincher were loose in the packaging, and the hat was wrapped in a plastic bag. The outfit is 100% polyester. The dress material has stretch to it. The tie does not have any stretch, though it does up with Velcro so it can be adjusted to fit. The hat does not have any stretch to it but the back of the hat has a snap closure, which can be adjusted to size. Lastly, the back of the waist cincher is thick elastic so it can be stretched for size.

The tie is all black in colour. The neckband has a Velcro closure at the back of the neck. The Velcro piece is 1 ¾ x 1 inch. The tie is really comfortable to wear and fits well. The included hat is absolutely fabulous! The hats I have received with costumes in the past are usually one-size-fits-most and very poor quality. The cop hat is excellent quality and adjusts to fit with a snap closure at the back of the hat (similar to a baseball cap). The material to the hat is thick and durable. At the centre front of the hat, there is a silver coloured broach style pin that says “city police”. This pin can be removed or relocated on the hat if you’d prefer.





The waist cincher has three belt style straps at the front of the cincher. These straps are 1 ¼ inches in width with a 1 ¼ inch gap between each strap. In the centre of each strap, there is a silver coloured, square shaped metal buckle. The straps each have three grommets with a 1 ¼ inch space between each grommet. The straps do not go around the entire cincher. The entire back of the cincher is a thick, stretchy elastic band. The waistband has a zipper closure down the side.



The dress is fantastic. I really love the dress because it has the length that I’d need to be able to wear this dress to a costume party. I’m 5’6 in height and the bottom of the dress falls about 3 ½ inches above my knee. The dress has a zipper closure down the centre front of the dress, but does not go down to the bottom of the dress. There is approximately 8 ½ inches at the centre bottom of the dress with no zipper. The dress has a bit of stretch to it but it does not become sheer the more it needs to be stretched. The material of the dress is thick and durable.

At the chest of the dress, there are 2 fake pockets. The flaps to the “pockets” are a wet look material and have a snap closure (though there is nothing to snap them too). Above the one flap, there is the title “officer naughty” sewn in white capital letters. Above the other flap, there is a broach style pin, which is the same pin as the hat has. The pin can be removed from the dress or relocated to another area if you prefer.

The chest does not have any padding or under wire. Luckily I was able to pull the flaps to the “pockets” down to where my nipples were so the nipple outline did not show through the material. If you were concerned about nipple outline, a pair of pasties would cover them well. While wearing the dress for my partner in the bedroom, I pulled the zipper down a bit to show some cleavage. My partner really liked this.

The outfit is extremely comfortable. I do not have any complaints about the material being bothersome or irritating to my skin. The care tag states that the outfit should be hand washed and tumble-dried. The outfit should not be bleached.

Overall, I’m extremely happy with this outfit. I purchased this outfit during the spring clearance sale here at EdenFantasys so the outfit was 40% off. Now that I know what I do about the quality and fit of this outfit, I would definitely have purchased it at full price in a heartbeat. My partner absolutely loves this outfit on me and I’ll admit, I love it too! What’s great about this outfit too is that the pieces can be worn individually as well. I love the cincher and I plan on wearing it out in public with a nice white button up shirt. It really doesn’t “cinch”, but it looks really cool!

I still love this outfit! I actually wore it out for Halloween. It had the length that I felt appropriate for wearing out in public. A lot of my costumes were just way too short. I'm still very happy with it!
