Vintage Rose

I think that this is one that you'll just have to try and see. It's pretty and on the right girl, it would look fantastic. Make sure that you know your size before buying. =)

I love the colours of Coquette's spring and summer line, which this chemise is a part of. It's a really pretty, muted pink, and it would look good on really light skin or really dark skin. I don't think that it does much for my tanned skin, but it isn't exactly unflattering either.

The body of this chemise is made out of a stretchy mesh fabric that really hugs your curves, but even so, it might not fit if you are too small. I had some trouble with the cup size because this is meant for someone with a little bit of a bigger breast than I have, but overall, I could make it work. Make sure that you fit within Coquette's size chart. If you have any experience with Coquette, this runs true to size everywhere but the cup, which is a bit large. The mesh itself is soft, but if you have love handles or bumps that you'd like covered up, this does not do you any favours. The top of the cups is this mesh too, and on me, it just sits there kind of loosely. I think that someone with a medium-sized breast (like a C or a D cup relative to their underbust) might suit this better. So a 30C-D for the small, a 32C-D for the medium and a 34C-D for the large. Because of the stretchy mesh, a DD cup might be able to get away with it, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone any bigger. I also wouldn't recommend it to anyone any smaller, because the mesh puckers at the top and just sort of sits there.

The lace in the middle of the body and on the cups is stretchy too, but not quite as much as the mesh. You don't get much tummy coverage or anything, but you're at least covered because it is more opaque.

There are garters on this product, but they're made of a sort of flimsy plastic, so they're not ideal. The length is adjustable, but it's more suited to women with long legs than short. I would definitely have been better off in this if there were an extra small size.

After-wear care is really easy for me, because I generally just blot it clean with a damp cloth, and hand wash it after every couple of wears. Whatever lingerie wash you use should do the trick just fine, and the colours don't seem to bleed or anything. It wouldn't shrink in the wash, but it's pretty delicate, so I wouldn't recommend running it through a wash/dry cycle if you want it to last. There were a couple of loose strings when I got it, but I haven't frayed any more out since.

Thanks for the information about the sizing; you saved me from buying something that would not fit me well! It's a shame, too, since this piece looks so lovely.
