Black magic pleasure kit - vibrator kit by Doc Johnson - review by Megs

Being that the black magic pleasure kit comes with four parts, each one has its own use. There isn't anything out of the ordinary as far as uses go for the pieces of this kit. All of them have the same uses as the others like them.


Pocket Rocket: For clitoral stimulation as well as stimulation of the nipples. The pocket rocket can be used solo or by couple and be effective both ways. It can be used for solo stimulation, foreplay and stimulation during intercourse as well


Bullet: Best use for the bullet is clitoral stimulation, but it can also be used for vaginal stimulation, though the place where the wire connects could be a bit difficult to clean if that is the use. Can also be used solo or by a couple.


Vibrator: Best use is vaginally, though with caution it can be used anally. I say with caution because the vibrator is one size for most of the length and if you're not careful it might slip in farther than you intend it to. Can be used with couples but best for solo use.


Lubricant: Lubricant works for couples and for solo use on toys.

The texture of the toys is smooth and velvety, great to the touch with no odor. The material also makes it easy to clean and good for beginners. The tip of the pocket rocked has pointed (not harshly so) tips on it, but that only enhances the feeling when you're using it.

The lubricant is your average water based lube. There is no strong smell or taste but it's silky to the touch and doesn't leave you feeling all sticky after use. Unless it is warm, the lube is a bit thicker, but can still be poured. (I personally don't mind it being a bit thicker, it makes it easier to apply to toys without getting my hands covered.)

All of the toys are rigid plastic, and mostly non porous which is also a plus.

Pocket Rocket: Basic pocket rocket design, every bit as effective as it has always been. The size is typical of the pocket rocket which makes it easy to hide and suitable for travel. It isn't very loud for the power it gives, yet another plus.


Bullet: Pretty typical for a bullet for the most part. Something new for me was the control section which at a quick glance could pass for a toy itself. The entire toy is made of the same velvety material. The control is operated by two buttons: one to up the power and one to bring it down, and there is even a set of four lights to show what power level you're at. As with most bullets it is quiet, easy to hide, and good for travel.


Vibrator: A thinner make of vibrator, but typical in design. Good power with quiet volume and pretty easy to hide but vibrators are longer so they aren't great for travel. The typical twist dial at the base of the vibrator is used to operate it and it turns easily so you don't accidentally twist off the battery holder. This vibrator takes AA batteries which are held by a plastic piece that you put in the vibrator, then twist back on the base, much easier than C batteries.

Pocket Rocket: Easy to use, typical twist on and twist off. Technically waterproof but submerging it in water would probably cause malfunctions as the parts aren't sealed off or anything like that. The toy isn't noisy, it's probably quieter than the vibrations of a cell phone.


Bullet: Great piece of the kit. While other bullets may have a turning dial, this one has a set of buttons and lights that show what power level you're at which I think is great. This one is the quietest bullet I've yet to use and I could barely hear it without any covers involved. The controls are super easy to use and the control stick is really easy to hold as well. It is also supposed to be waterproof, but I warn against it being submerged for reasons as stated above.


Vibrator: Controls are average, pretty basic for a vibrator, with a turning piece on the base to control power. The piece is easy to turn so you don't accidentally twist off the bottom while you're trying to use it. Vibrations are located in the top half which improves function. The vibe is a bit on the thin side, but I'd say that it makes it more versatile and usable by everyone. It is not very noisy, it's about the volume of cell phone vibrations if that. Again, wouldn't advise submerging in water.

General: All three of the toys are made of the same material (a velvety plastic) so they have the same general care needs. To clean them just use antibacterial soap and hot water or wipe them down with isopropyl alcohol. I store my set with most of my other toys, and since they're plastic, they're compatible with water, oil, and silicone lubricants. As for the lubricant itself, you can clean it off easily with water or let it dissipate itself after a while.

Pocket Rocket: Because of the ridged cap you'll have to clean a bit more thoroughly. Be sure to clean in between the ridges and occasionally get under the cap as well.

Bullet: The only cleaning concern for this one is where the wire connects to the bullet. It can get dirty so you'll have to be careful about making sure you clean it as well.

Vibrator: Basic care and cleaning used in the general cleaning.

The plastic box the set came in was nicely decorated and could be used to store or for a gift box. Only downside of storage for the box is that the toys come packed in a plastic insert specially fitted for each, so it would be easier to store elsewhere. No instructions really needed.

I'm always a bit skeptical about vibe sets, just because they all claim to be powerful but quite a few don't turn out to be. This set surprised me as the vibrating toys all worked great and the lube did well which was surprising to me. Since it's colder out and my house isn't horribly warm, I noticed that the lube seems to be thicker which I attribute to the cold, though it could just be the lube. I'm guessing that if you get it warmed up, it'll thin out, but I liked being able to not worry about pouring out too much. (The cap twists off and you have to pour, no flip cap or anything like that). Unlike some lubes, this one didn't just run down my toys as soon as I put it on, which was great because I don't like having a giant mess of lube everywhere. Overall, I think this was a great set and I'm glad I ordered it. So far (after a month), the batteries are holding strong as well.
