When I first got the Jack Rabbit package open, it up there was a very strong smell of plastic. After a quick wash, though it was fine. The Jack Rabbit, is a great first time toy. It works wonderful; the rotational head is awesome and hits all the right spots. The ears work the clit while the rotational head hits the g-spot and works great even off for regular old penetration.
The rabbit ears themselves I found them to have air holes in the jelly, and they broke after a week. After the ears broke, they became sharp and hurt. This was remedied with a cut and shaping. The noise level from the base was a little louder than a bee but not much louder. I found the rabbit itself to be quiet and easy to use even with people right next door.
The Jack rabbit is a great in the shower toy too, I found in the shower the toy works great and it really is waterproof. It is made out of jelly, so there is a need to cover the shaft, I found using twisted or her pleasure condoms they heighten the experience to a whole new level.
The Jack Rabbit does take four AA batteries, but it does not run through them too quickly. It is recommended to take out the batteries out after every use, please do this otherwise the batteries are gone in a matter of hours. The user can feel when the batteries are beginning to run low, the vibrations slow down on the ears.
I have found that the Jack Rabbit is a nice toy for first timers and it works great. My husband and I enjoy using it together and I enjoy using it by myself. We have found that after the ears were fixed it works better than ever.

This vibrator was one of the first vibes I bought. It worked well, but I have had better for a smaller price. It is still a good toy for beginners and will get you hooked on rabbit vibes.

I personally do not like jelly toys because they are too porous and there is a chance of your toy developing a bacterial infection which it can then pass on to you. But it's all a matter of personal choice. -
I had my share of jelly and can honestly say that thinking I'm gonna save money by buying it instead of picking something silicone or even TPR is fooling myself. Jelly toys don't last. They yellow and loose their pretty colors. They also irritate some people's skin (the older the toy the more it leaks phthalates).
IMHO the only things that are both fantastic and jelly are gummi bears.
I may be biased but I would wait for a sale on silicone dildos and buy one and a small simple hard plastic clit vibe. This way you won't fall into the "wrong anatomy" trap that rabbits have. You can also look for something TPE/TPR (but it will still be porous = no way to disinfect) or silicone in the rabbit aisle.

Nope. Mine works fine. So sorry that happened to you. =[ Honestly, I don't like this toy anyway because it didn't work for me so I feel like I've wasted my money too.

Great first review. I've never heard of the ears breaking off. Good info. For vibrating toys, you will always want to add information about the function. This includes the type of controls, the number of speeds or modes and what they feel like, and where the vibrations are located on the toy.
