My First Rabbit: Jack

Although I think this could be a good toy for beginners, I would advise everyone to purchase a toy made of a safer material. For the price there are better options out there. I enjoyed and got a lot of use out of the rabbit when I was a beginner, but have since purchased silicone rabbits.

Use

This vibrator provides clitoral stimulation while rotating and vibrating inside of you, all while being completely waterproof! The rabbit attachment's ears and face allow for multiple contact points with your clitoris providing strong and pleasurable sensations. The rabbit's face is slightly pointy, which can cause discomfort for some users or not match up correctly with everyone's anatomy.

Jack was my first vibrator and one of my first sex toys ever. Being a beginner at the time, I thought the toy was very easy to use and appropriately sized. My favorite feature is it being completely waterproof; taking a shower with Jack was quite a memorable experience. I think more advanced users will not find this toy suitable, I have since gotten other rabbits and do not use Jack any longer.

Material / Texture

This vibrator is made of Jelly which has a safety rating of 2. Jelly toys may contain phthalates which are chemicals used to soften plastics, are very porous, and can harbor bacteria. Upon opening the package I noticed that Jack had a very strong rubbery odor. Even after washing the smell never really goes away completely.

The rabbit's texture is smooth and semi-flexible along the shaft, with some bumps right underneath the head. The bumps provide a nice sensation internally, but they also made inserting the toy tricky for me. I found that I needed to use a good amount of lubricant with this product.

Design / Shape / Size

One of my favorite features of this toy is that it's completely waterproof and comes with an O-ring. It works great in the shower, or completely submerged in the tub. Just make sure the battery chamber is tightened completely when inserting the batteries (it takes 3 AAs). Jack has a realistic shaped head, with a translucent blue shaft allowing you to see the beads inside. The diameter is 1 5/8" which is comfortable for regular users, but might be on the large side for a beginner. Jack has an insertable length of 5" which is just long enough.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This vibrator has 3 settings for vibration intensity and 3 for speed of rotation. You can also switch the direction of rotation. The control pad is located below the shaft. There are 2 up/down arrows for each setting, a direction changing button, along with a light up display. When I used it to massage myself the settings were conveniently located, but when this toy was fully inserted I had trouble finding which button controlled which setting.

The vibrations were pretty powerful, but as a regular user of vibrators, they were not as strong as other rabbits. The rotation setting makes a relatively loud unpleasant grating sound. At least the vibrator is quiet.

Care and Maintenance

Clean jelly toys with the warm water and toy cleaner; don't use strong soaps on them and keep in a cool dark place. Remember that jelly can't be sterilized like silicone, so no boiling water. Alcohol will also degrade the material. Since jelly can't be sterilized, Jack cannot be shared safely unless you put a condom over it. Silicone and water based lubes are safe to use with this vibrator.

Since this vibrator is porous, Jack should be stored away from other toys, wrapped in a soft cloth for protection.

Follow-up commentary
This vibrator had a strong unpleasant rubbery smell and was made of unsafe, porous jelly so I have gotten rid of it. It was difficult to throw out since this was my very first rabbit style vibrator and I was nostalgic. I'm looking into buying a safe, waterproof, silicone rabbit. Using a jelly toy made me feel uncomfortable when I learned about how many things they can hold on to!
