Croupier Coup

The Croupier's soft feel, flexible shaft, and easy dial control make it a nice inviting vibe for beginners, but it has enough power to please anyone. A true multitasker, this versatile vibrator can be used alone, during intercourse, or incorporated into various other types of play. It very quickly superseded a few other toys on my list of favorites.

Use

While classified as a g-spot vibe, the Croupier also works very well externally. The curved tip is designed for targeted g-spot stimulation. The material is pretty flexible, so those needing firm g-spot pressure may find it too soft and bendy. In its favor, the bullet vibe is located towards the top, just before the curve starts, and is very powerful. Plus, the shaft's pliability doesn't negatively affect the Croupier's performance when it comes to thrusting, especially for those who prefer a more giving material and/or powerful vibration for that purpose. While the size isn't very discreet, the supple shaft keeps the toy from being awkward to use during sex, so this toy easily fits in with solo play, foreplay, and partner play. Keep it out of your bum, though! No flared base makes this one unsuitable for anal play.

Material / Texture

The Croupier is made from silicone, so it's phthalate-free. I can detect a very faint scent, which similar to strawberry flavored bubble gum and not at all unpleasant, and I can only smell it when I have the shaft pressed against my nose. There's no noticeable taste. The surface of the toy is mostly smooth with ridges down the side, towards the base, and underneath the curved top. This material is very soft and giving, so the texture is great for beginners. I personally didn't notice much sensation from the side ridges, but I did enjoy feeling the bumps of the top and bottom ridges when using this toy internally and for clitoral stimulation. While there is definitely some surface drag, this toy doesn't feel sticky, and it's not too bad for attracting lint.

Design / Shape / Size

I think the overall design of the Croupier is cute and clever. It's the right shape for a g-spot vibe, and since it's mostly smooth with a few gentle ridges, I'd say this is a good one for sex toy beginners or those new to g-spot stimulators. The flexible shaft almost conforms to my body when used for clitoral stimulation, and I love the little wheel control because it's so accessible and easy to use. Plus, it matches my candy striper costume.

As for size, the 5 inches of insertable length isn't the least bit intimidating, and with a diameter of 1 3/4 inches making the girth around 5 inches, it's enough to satisfy an experienced toy user while not overwhelming a novice. The toy measures 8 inches total, which leaves plenty of handle to hold on to and keeps hands from going numb. With a vibe this powerful, that's definitely a bonus!

I probably won't travel with this toy. It's not the least bit unwieldy; I just have other vibes that are easier to hide and more travel-friendly.

Okay, this is one of the best controls ever. It's easily accessible, and so simple--just turn the dial at the base! There aren't any specific speed settings, it's a continuous vibration and the dial controls the intensity. The vibrations are felt all along the shaft from the motor near the top. This toy stays pretty quite until reaching top speed, but even then it can't be heard through a closed door.

Care and Maintenance

I love waterproof toys because they are so easy to clean! Just wash with antibacterial soap and warm water without any worries about getting water where it shouldn't go. I store mine in its original box to help keep it from picking up too much lint between uses. Since this toy is silicone, only use water-based lube. [editors note: Evolved has crafted the silicone in their High Roller line to be compatible with silicone lubes]

Packaging

I really love the boxes Evolved toys come it. I think it's the clasp fasteners. The Croupier comes in a clear plastic box, so the packaging isn't discreet in that way, but it has a nice flower pattern around the edges. I personally prefer this to the more garish, sometimes graphic packaging of some adult products. While there are no instructions included, basic product information is printed on the outside of the box.

I have to say that I really love this toy. I gave it frequent and thorough testing, and I'm about to go test it once more, just to be sure. It's like proofreading, you know.

Experience

For me, the Croupier is one of those toys that only gets better the more I play with it. I actually let my husband try it out on me before using it myself, which is something I rarely do. But this toy is so soft and appealing, I felt totally comfortable with it. While the vibe is very powerful at top speed, the lowest settling is gentle enough to jump-start arousal during foreplay. Being someone who likes to start slow and build up the intensity, I love that!

Once we moved on to intercourse, I used it for clitoral stimulation. Bigger vibes like this usually do better during rear-entry positions like spooning and doggie-style, but thanks to the toy's flexibility, this one doesn't get in the way too much when used during front-entry positions.

I got a little more experimental with the Croupier when I tested it by myself. While I found the shaft too bendy to apply firm g-spot pressure, I really liked it for thrusting. Since there aren't any vibration pulse patterns, I added variety by switching between internal and external stimulation. The little ridge towards the base comes close to hitting my clitoris when I have just the tip of the toy inserted, and the ridge underneath the curved tip feels really good sliding over my whole genital area. Oh, and since the surface has some drag, be sure to keep your lube handy, but I didn't need to use much.

I still LOVE this toy. In fact, I think I like it more and more each time I use it. If I had this review to write all over again, I would probably give it 5 stars. It is holding up very well under consistent use, and the motor still feels very powerful.

      This summer I had no room. I went away for college and my family gave my room to my little sister, leaving me with the sofa this summer. It was pretty hard to go without toys.
