Dolphin Clit Letdown

After using this toy only one time, I will be throwing it away. To me, it is very useless, doesn't get the job done, and smells so bad. I don't need it wasting space.

Use

The Dolphin Clit Teaser is intended for direct clitoral stimulation. It is waterproof, so it can be used in the tub. It can also be used alone or during sex but definitely cannot be anally or vaginally inserted. It is small enough to throw into a purse, but it is definitely not discreet. Although I've only used it one time, I will be throwing it away.

Material / Texture

After opening this toy, I was overcome by the smell wafting from it. It smells HORRIBLE, like burnt rubber. It can't even be washed away. The smell comes from the jelly that forms the dolphin part of this toy. The jelly isn't like normal jelly: it is hard and doesn't flex. The handle and other parts of this toy are made of plastic. Since this toy is made of jelly, it should not be shared with anyone.

Design / Shape / Size

The size of this toy isn't that big, but the dolphin part that is supposed to be for clitoral stimulation is extremely small. That being said, it is really hard to directly pinpoint the clit with this toy. The overall shape of this toy is designed like a pocket rocket. It is big enough to get a good grip on it, which is a good thing. As stated before, it is small enough to throw in a purse or bag, but anyone with sense could figure out that this is a vibrator.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This toy uses one AA battery, which is not included. When you get the battery in, you can turn it all the way to the right to get the toy to turn on. This toy is extremely loud and only has one vibration mode. You turn the base to the left to turn the battery off, but be careful because it is hard to get the base to the off position without the battery compartment opening.

Care and Maintenance

You really do not need lube with this toy since it is only intended for clitoral stimulation. Just wash it with antibacterial soap and water and it is clean.

unfortunately, it's true. the smell is horrible, there isn't really enough vibration through the dolphin either, the main vibration is in the handle.

    • I noticed on the dolphin clit teaser that the material safety level is a 2..? Is that based mostly on porosity and sterility or does it have dangerous chemicals in it? Anyone know? I have read that it smells funny, so it has me wondering.

      If you click on the materials listed, you can see their properties. This one looks like it's jelly and plastic. I would also suggest reading the reviews, many reviewers talk about materials and how to clean them and use them safely.

      Jelly: "Jelly material can't be sterilized like silicone-so no boiling water. Since jelly toys can't be sanitized they can't be shared-unless you put a condom over them. Clean jelly toys with the warm water and toy cleaner. Don't use strong soaps on them and keep in a cool dark place."
    • I believe the material safety level is based on porosity/ how hospitable the material is to bacteria. I'm sure the material safety level has nothing to do with dangerous chemicals.
