Dolphins could very well be the second horniest animals after humans. Dolphins have orgies, have sex with different species, have different varieties of sex, and generally get it on whenever they desire (look it up if you don't believe me!). So it's no surprise that a lot of sex toys happen to feature dolphins like the Dolphin Teaser.

The Dolphin Teaser is designed for external stimulation, primarily clitoral stimulation. It is not designed nor intended for insertion of any kind. You could use the dolphin to tease the entrance to the anus, but since the dolphin is made of a jelly material, you won't be able to keep it sterile. It's not best for anal play. Besides the clitoris, it can be used on other erogenous zones such as the stomach, breasts, and nipples. This toy is a great little gift if you're looking for something affordable but had some kick to it.

The Dolphin Teaser is more for beginners than more experienced users. It is affordable, showerproof, and a good strength for its value. However, more advanced users will probably prefer better materials, settings, and features as opposed to this one. Because the Dolphin Teaser is splashproof, it can be taken into the shower without worry, just don't submerge it! Just make sure not to open the battery cage while in the shower since the construction of the toy is not exactly ergonomic.

The Dolphin Teaser is made out of two textures. The body and everything but the dolphin is made from plastic. Plastic is non porous and easy to clean. It usually ranks an 8 out of 10 on the materials safety scale, which is pretty darn good. Plastic is hypoallergenic and usually made of food grade materials. The dolphin is made out of a type of jelly, which ranks a 2 out of 10 on the safety scale. Jelly is porous, so you'll never be able to get it completely clean. It also degrades faster than other materials, so taking good care of the toy will extend its life.



There is a bit of a smell to the Dolphin Teaser. I wasn't greeted with an overwhelming smell like some users have described. This may be because I tend to wash my toys immediately after receiving them and didn't put this one to my nose. After a couple of washes, I did not detect an overt odor. One is present if I put my nose to it though.

There is texture to the Dolphin Teaser, which is the little dolphin that sits at the top of the toy. It's basically a pocket rocket but with a dolphin on top. The dolphin has some detail on it which gives it some texture. It also its distinct dolphin nose. This does allow for pinpointed stimulation, but it may be too pointed for some. The stimulation is not that firm because the dolphin is very flexible. If anything were to break on the Dolphin Teaser it would probably be the dolphin at the top snapping off. Just be careful not to put it under too much strain. Still, the toy is very beginner friendly and probably snooze inducing for others. Since I like funky and cute toys, I have enjoyed its presence.

This toy is basically a pocket rocket with a dolphin top. It has the same design as many pocket rockets. It does have the not-so-ergonomic battery compartment construction. I call this an annoyance in almost all pocket rockets because it can compromise the toy, especially when dealing with water. Turning the toy off and detaching the battery compartment are literally a centimeter away from each other. If you're not careful, you could pop the battery compartment off while in the shower and ruin your toy. This is something to be concerned about if you are interested in this for water play. It's a non-issue for those who don't use toys in the shower.



Moving along, the size of the Dolphin Teaser is small and travel friendly. It is 5 inches long and is 1 inch in diameter at its widest point. It is not insertable, which makes it non-intimidating for first time users. It can easily fit in a jacket pocket or purse. It is moderately discreet. At it's loudest, the Dolphin Teaser ranges between 2-3 Bees. You shouldn't be heard through a door if it is closed and a blanket is thrown over. If the door is particularly thin, you might be heard. If anything, you can take this to the shower and you won't be heard.

The functions the the Dolphin Teaser are simple and easy to use. It switches on the bottom. You turn the base like a dial to turn the toy on, off, and to release the battery from the battery compartment. It only has one vibration setting, which is a standard vibration at a low 4 Vrooms. It's not deep and rumbly and is more on the buzzy side, but it does well to stimulate most clitorises. You can actually see the motor spinning when you turn the toy one since the blue plastic is transparent. The motor is located just beneath the Dolphin. It does flicker and shake with the vibrations.

If someone wants more sophistication than one setting or likes having control over the power they receive, they might want to look elsewhere. Again, the Dolphin Teaser works underwater and is waterproof, so long as you don't unscrew the bottom. I would also refrain from submerging the Dolphin. He's safe in the shower, though. The bottom goes from On to Off to Unscrew for the battery. The Dolphin Teaser takes 1 AA battery and the 1 battery bot gives power and lasts a while.

Care for the Dolphin Teaser is easy. You can wash it with toy cleaner, toy wipes or a mild soap with water. Never use any harsh chemicals on the dolphin since it is made of jelly. Because it is jelly, the dolphin won't be able to be sterilized. Once dry, store the toy in a cool, dry place. Remove the batteries if storing for an extended period of time. Store this toy away from silicone toys to prevent adverse reactions to the silicone toys.

Both silicone and water based lubricants can be used with the Dolphin Teaser.

The packaging is stereotypical. It's a plastic snap shell packaging. It is not discreet, and is a bit raunchy with the typical "come hither" lady on the front. If you were to gift this, throw in a little pouch to make up for the packaging. There aren't additional paper instructions, but the packaging does have a bit of info about the toy. The packaging is not intended for long term storage.

I figured to pick this one up since it was only a few bucks. Even if it was a flop, I knew I wouldn't be annoyed at the purchase, so I gave it a chance. And honestly, for 4 bucks I have had better experiences with this toy than I have with 30 dollar toys. It works, lasts decently long, and has some strength. If you're okay with the simple setting and don't need to submerge this thing, then it is an option for you. If you already have collected toys, you can skip this one unless you just like the cute little dolphin. This toy isn't in my Go-To box, but I wont throw it out until it wears down.
