Glo mini - bullet discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by Munko

This little vibe is pretty typical of most bullet vibes. It's a decent size and can be inserted for shallow penetration at 2.5 inches in size, or used to stimulate the clitoris or other erogenous zones on the body. It has 10 functions, with varying patterns and intensities for each. I found it quite enjoyable during foreplay as the different patterns and intensities mix things up and make teasing quite easy! The glow in the dark feature is neat, although I didn't find it lasted too long. It's also not very bright, but definitely a neat little gimmick feature. It's water proof so it can be used in the water for couples or solo time. It has a LED light around the power button, that I found to be quite bright, almost like a small flashlight. We had a bit of a giggle when cycling through the patterns as the light flashes in time with the patterns and at times it felt like we had a disco under the blankets. It added a bit of thrill in the dark, but there was definitely no hiding it in the dark, so it wouldn't be a great toy to use discreetly if you're trying not to be seen. I found it fairly quiet, and unlike some vibes the noise didn't get louder when pressure was applied to the toy and body. It does make more of buzzy sound than a lot of vibes, so it may be more distinguishable to others, especially when set on a pattern that starts and stops.

The material is an antibacterial, non toxic, non-phthalate, sil-a-gel formula, with the controls being made of plastic. It feels quite smooth and during foreplay and intercourse the material was smooth enough that at times I was unable to distinguish what was my partner and what was the toy. It adds no texture but doesn't have an unpleasant feel to it at all, I quite liked the feel of it and it doesn't stick or catch like some other materials might. I did however find it was almost too smooth, given the size of the vibe and round shape. In certain instances it slipped around a lot and as a girl who needs a lot of direct stimulation it was a bit frustrating trying to find the right spot and get it to stay there. I didn't notice a smell one way or the other to it really, nothing strong or unpleasant.

I quite like the design of this little vibe. It's small enough to be discreet and easy to take with you. I probably wouldn't put it in a purse or anywhere it could be seen by others, though, as it's very obviously a vibrator. But it still has enough substance and size to it that it can be used in a variety of ways and in a variety of places on the body. It's not quite large enough to give a "full" feeling if inserted, and the vibrations aren't super strong so on it's own it wouldn't be great to use for insertion, but with a skilled hand and some foreplay along with it, it was quite pleasurable for me no matter where it was used. It is a bit large in girth for me, to be used for clitoral stimulation and like I previously said, a bit slippery because it's so smooth. I did have trouble in more exposed positions keeping it in place well enough that it provided enough stimulation. For those who like to be more exposed and need strong, direct stimulation it might not be the best choice. I found it to be a bit hard too, and in some positions I could feel it against bone and it was uncomfortable, but that's not unusual for a toy that's not soft or flexible.

I like the variety of settings on this toy, and the ease of pushing the button on the bottom to rotate through the functions. I did find the vibrations were a bit weaker than I generally prefer but they run through the whole vibe which helps make up for it. On the lowest vibration settings I wasn't able to feel the vibrations too well, but at the two higher settings I could. I had trouble figuring out how to turn it off, the product comes with no instructions. While using it, I was turning the end until the battery compartment opened to turn it off. After reading more about it here at EF, I discovered you hold the power button in. Simple to use, but not at all explained anywhere on the packaging with the toy.

Because it's a bit slippery and quite smooth it slipped around in the water quite a bit, but it would be good in the shower where it's not fully surrounded by a lot of water.

Because this toy isn't very porous it can be cleaned quite easily. Warm water and soap did the trick for me quite easily and with the material being shiny it's easy to see if it's clean or not. I did drop it on the carpet after it had been cleaned and it got a bit of fuzz or lint stuck to it, so it would be best stored away from fabrics and in something plastic. It could be stored in the packaging it comes in, although it would take up a bit of space. It can be used with silicone or water based lubricants, whichever you choose.

The packaging was small and showcased the vibe in a cutout window on the front. The package describes that the vibe is water proof, body safe and made in America. On the back it describes the features - glow in the dark, 10 functions, water proof. I was disappointed that this product didn't come with any use or care instructions. I couldn't figure out how to turn it off, and I had to do a bit of research to figure out what is safe to use with the materials as I've never used anything made of sil-a-gel before. The packaging it's self is cardboard and inside the vibe came in a two sided plastic tray. It could be used to store the toy in, but would add a lot of unnecessary bulk considering the smaller size of the toy.

We quite enjoyed this little vibe. I am more used to having vibrators with more direct points of vibration and for external stimulation only. It was nice to experience a toy with all over vibration and with the ability to use it externally or internally. It was a fun experience for the both of us.
