Platinum impulse triple tease - rabbit vibrator by Cal Exotics - review by Breas

When I had seen that I was assigned the Platinum Impulse Triple Tease by Cal Exotics to review, I was extremely excited! I’ve only tried two rabbit vibrators before this one, and when I seen how gorgeous the Triple Tease vibrator was; I assumed it would be just as satisfying in performance.

The Platinum Impulse Triple Tease rabbit vibrator is in a transparent, plastic, rectangular packaging. Though the packaging is not very luxurious, I do find it attractive and the colours on the packaging are very feminine and pretty. The front of the packaging states the product name, the brand, a few of the product features, and because the packaging is transparent, the product can be seen as well. The back of the packaging has the same information as the front, along with a photo of the product and a few extra features not stated on the front of the packaging. The product features that the packaging boasts of are as follows: waterproof, 7 functions, secret inner-g arouser, “hot button” for random selection, triple motors, 3 speeds of shaft rotation, auto-off button, powerful, 3 rows of non-jamming metal beads, easy load battery pack, and finally, LED lights on the control panel.



The vibrator is made of TPE, the controller and bullets are made of ABS with metallic plating, and the rotating beads inside of the vibrator are stainless steel. With the vibrator, you can use either water based, or silicone based lubricants. The measurements for the vibrator are as follows:

Length: 9 ½ inches
Insertable Length: 4 ¾ inches
Circumference: 5 ¼ inches

The circumference is measured around the beaded section. Above the beaded section, the vibrator is a bit thinner, measuring in at 4 ¾ inches.



The vibrator requires 4x AAA batteries that are not included. The battery compartment is located on the bottom of the vibrator. The lid on the bottom twists off, and the white, rectangular compartment sits inside (see photo below). The lid twists on and off easily and seems quite secure so no water can get into the battery area. I did not have any problems putting the batteries in, or taking them out.



The rabbit did not come with an instruction manual, but the functions of the vibrator are vaguely explained on the back of the packaging. I played around with all of the buttons before trying it out

There are 5 buttons on the control pad. The first button is the on/off button. This turns the vibrator power on, but only the rabbit piece starts moving when you press this button. The next button has a number seven on it. This button controls the 7 different pulsating, vibrating, and escalating functions of the rabbit piece on the vibrator. The third button is the “hot” button. When you press this button, it will choose a random function for the rabbit piece. The last two buttons are the up and down button. These buttons increase and decrease the speed of the shaft rotation.



When I was ready to try out the Platinum Impulse Triple Tease, I used A LOT of lubricant on the toy because it has quite a bit of girth to it. If you do not like thicker vibrators, you will not like the Triple Tease.

The vibrator has a very smooth texture, like a baby’s bottom. I’m not the type of person to need a lot of texture, but I didn’t find the extreme smoothness very exciting either. The material on the vibrator is very “smushy”. You can see in the photos below how flexible and “smushy” the material is. I did not hate the flexibility of the toy, but the lack of firmness reminded me of sex with a penis that was losing its erection… not sexy.








This was my first toy with beads in the shaft, and I’m not really impressed; they didn’t do a thing for me. Though, this could very well be because the speed at the highest setting was mediocre. The packaging claims that the vibrator is “powerful”, but I beg to differ. When I first turned the toy on, the rabbit speed at the highest setting looked exciting, but as soon as I turned the shaft power on, the motor for the rabbit seemed to be less powerful, making the rabbit vibrations weaker. The power of this toy is probably the biggest con for me, because I like strong vibrations/movements both externally and internally. I ended up using another toy to finish.

Today I tried the Platinum Impulse Triple Tease again because I really wanted to love it and I was hoping that the first experience I had with it was just a fluke…but it wasn’t. I still had a problem with the lack of texture, power, and smushyness. On top of that, I had issues with the control panel. I was playing with the buttons to refresh my memory on which buttons did what, and when I was ready to get jiggy with it, I couldn’t get the shaft rotation to work (so only the rabbit piece was moving). The beads were not jammed, nor were the batteries dieing because they were new. I pressed every single button a bunch of times to figure out what the problem was, but it just didn’t want to move. After turning it off and on many times, it eventually worked (about a half an hour later). There is nothing worse than being ready to go, and the toy being stubborn.



As for the smaller details… I did not have any problems with the toys weight or bulk when I was using it. I did not submerge the toy in water, but when I cleaned the toy there was no water that got into the battery compartment. The “secret inner-G arouser” that is located near the beads on the shaft did not really add any extra excitement for me when I used the toy, but this could differ from person to person. One nice thing about the Platinum Impulse Triple Tease is that the noise level is quite low, even on the highest settings. On the highest settings, the vibrator could be heard through a closed door if there is no background noise and/or you do not have a blanket covering it. With a blanket, the noise should not be heard through a closed door.

The vibrator should be cleaned before and after each use (the material collects lint and dust) and can be done with soap and water, or a toy cleaning spray. Also, if you share this toy, be sure to always cover it with a condom.

I probably would not recommend this to beginners because of its girth, and because the control panel is not the simplest. This toy is best for those who already know what they like, and that’s super smushy, super smooth, mediocre powered toys. If that sounds like something you’d enjoy, than you’ll love this toy!

Overall, I give the Platinum Impulse Triple Tease a 3 out of 5 rating. It’s not a terrible toy, but it lacks all of the specific attributes that I need (power, texture, firmness). Also, it loses a star because I had a heck of a time with getting the shaft rotation to work.

I was going through my toys recently to get rid of toys that I no longer use/don't like. This toy falls under both categories. I haven't used the toy since the review. While it's pretty to look at, it just doesn't do a darn thing for me. With the material being porous (TPE) and being unable to sterilize it, I just threw it out. If you're looking for a toy that's attractive but lacks in performance, you might enjoy this toy. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend it.
