Lust - traditional vibrator by Evolved Novelties - review by Alicia

Lust is a traditional vibrator from Evolved's Love is Back collection. Lust is waterproof and made of a hard plastic with a smooth satin coating. The coating is not the softest satin finish that I've felt; it's a bit matte and feels almost powdery. It does glide nicely on the skin though with just a slight bit of drag. Mine's the pink color and I love that it's not quite hot pink but it's also not a baby pink. I have a lot of pink toys and I was getting tired of them but I have to say that I do like the color of the Lust. I also love that the material is non-toxic and phthalate-free.

Lust's shaft has these wonderful ridges along its entire length. Lust also packs a good amount of weight, I think I could probably use this vibe to fend off an intruder; it's almost like a club. The straight shape of the Lust and the ridges would also make a great rolling massager for the body. You can roll the Lust under your hands and the weight plus the firm body creates a wonderful feeling.

Lust comes in the traditional Evolved packaging, the tin with the see through top and the metal closures. The vibe sits in a foam bed; it makes a perfect storage container for the Lust. That said, Lust does not collect any lint, so if you wanted to you could just throw it into a drawer for easier access. Still, the packaging is really nice and it'd make a great gift.

The ridges of the Lust feel absolutely wonderful, both for internal stimulation and also when run along the clitoris. I found it worked really well for running along externally and then slipping it in for a few moments before bringing it back out to kind of get the best of both worlds. The girth is enough to give a nice full feeling but still be easily insertable. You can feel each ridge go in, especially if you angle the Lust ever so slightly. The shape and size did not allow for G-Spotting since it's made out of hard plastic and is not flexible. You also shouldn't really use the Lust for anal play since there is no flared base.

Lust takes only 2 AA batteries, and the battery compartment has a nice secure lid with an o-ring to ensure that the vibe stays absolutely waterproof. There is only one button on the Lust which ensures ease of use. There are three different levels of vibrations. The first two are fairly quiet but then there is a big jump in noise level between the medium and the high. Even the high isn't obnoxiously loud, but it could be heard if someone was in the same room. Through a closed door it could not be heard if it was also under covers. Without covers it's possible it might be able to be heard through a closed door though, especially if there was complete silence otherwise. There's also a fairly large jump in intensity between these two levels. It almost seems as if there should be 5 levels and just two are missing. This is of course not actually the case, just what it feels like. Almost like high should be called "Turbo boost" because it's just that much stronger than the other two levels.

The vibrations are not earth shaking but they are deep and throbbing. The low level feels like a rolling vibration, a bit of a purr. It's nice for teasing but it really can't be felt much internally. The medium is nice, but unless you're very sensitive it probably won't be enough to get the job done. The third one is adequate, a little less then I like for clitoral stimulation but the ridges helped to give some extra sensation and to make up for the fact that the vibrations weren't out of this world intense.

You can use any type of lubricant with the Lust. I used just a bit of water based and it worked out just fine. If you create enough natural lubricant you might not find that you need any additional lubricant, although the extra lubrication was nice because of the ridges.
