Nice But Nothing Special

The Evolved Princess is sleek, soft, fits nicely in your hand, and even comes in a cool case, but it doesn't really seem like anything special. It doesn't deliver all that much of an extra oomph as far as a great and interesting vibrator goes. Great for beginners (and maybe intermediates), or anyone tired of vibrators that are all pink, purple, and sparkly, thanks to its somewhat hard rock appearance. It might make a nice present for close friends, if you have those kinds of friends.
Published:
Pros
Sleek, smooth, and has a nice dark look to it. Waterproof.
Cons
Not all that strong, a bit plain sensation-wise.

I wasn't sure what to expect with the "Diamond Edition" Waterproof Princess by Evolved.

It comes in a small silver tin (I do like that), with red and black lettering, with the words "Love is Black" underneath the company name. More than a glamor princess, it looks pretty "hard rock". I am somewhat fond of the presentation.

I was disappointed that no literature came along with it. The back is, of course, covered in praises about what it's made of and can do, but there weren't any instructions to be found, not even about the batteries. I know some things may be self-explanatory, and I've had enough similar toys to know what to do with it, but a first timer could spend a good ten minutes trying to figure out where the batteries go if they've never used, or even seen, something like it. Plus, I just like to know I'm doing things right. :)

Inside, the Princess is snuggled nicely in a bed of black foam, with a layer of red all around it. It actually kind of looks like a coffin...

Physically, the Princess looks pretty good. It's simple and sleek, and the little diamond rhinestones near the base give a nice, clean crystal-on-black prettiness that I do appreciate. [Editor's note: this toy is hard plastic, which can be cleaned well with soap/water or alcohol but not sterilized.] The coating is soft and smooth (easy to clean), and fits pretty nicely in your hand. I think it was a little smaller than expected, but not bad in that respect.

I have to say, I'm getting a little tired of products promising "maximum intensity with minimum noise", which this one does, when they don't deliver. The other toy I received recently claimed the same thing, and neither proved to be true. Neither is all that strong, and neither is very quiet either. Actually, this ones kind of loud comparatively.

I really don't mind if a toy is loud, honestly, I don't. It may be a bit embarrassing, but if it's nice and strong I won't mind a bit. What I hate is when they claim that the toy is quiet, when really it's not.
Companies, please note: I don't mind loud toys, but please don't tell me it's something it's not.

On to the more important stuff. I gave vroom a 3, but really I might say it is more of a 2.75 (The sound is about the same). It's not bad, but as someone who has trouble getting to orgasm it didn't get me off. After half an hour I was still unsatisfied and had to move on to a more reliable toy.

Other info: As far as insertion, I'm not big on it to begin with, but I tried it anyway. I think for most people it's a little too slim to do much unless you're nice and sensitive. It does, however, go in smooth and easy, so trying it is always an option.

Anally this toy is a no-no. It's nice and smooth, yes, but doesn't have one of those flared stoppers on the bottom to hold it in place with, or keep it from going all the way in and getting lost. That's not a doctor visit you want to have to deal with. Oh, and it takes just one AA battery, which is good but not included.

Overall I think I do like and appreciate the look and feel of this vibrator, but I don't think it's anything particularly special. It is a good piece, but not unique.
Experience
I would like to mention that if you've read any of my other reviews, you know I mention my orgasm problem a lot. I do this because I think it's important to know when it comes to reading reviews to find a toy for you. Because I have trouble orgasming, a lot of toys don't work for me unless they're nice and uber strong. That doesn't mean someone who's more sensitive or new to clitoral vibes won't get lots of wonderful orgasms out of what it does deliver.
I just wanted to say that.

I know what you mean. It's just not anything new. being sex toy reviewers, I think we get a bit jaded, but hey. We just know what we like!

I had such high hopes for Evolved as a company, its so disappointing to see them ripping off other people ALREADY. The exact same thing has been made by doc johnson, Jenna's Velvet Jewels and the Royal version, only difference is the cap shape that I can see, and the PRICE. (My Royal sounds stronger even, from the sounds of this)

I actually think evolved's version is better made than the Jenna's Velvet Jewels. It just doesn't seem as cheap to me, but yes, they are comparable.
