Rabbit habit sex toy review

Rabbit vibrator by Vibratex

Published: May 19, 2008
somewhat useful review
My first dual-action vibe. I have since gone back to single action toys with a specific purpose. In this case two heads are not better than one.
Pros:
-Tickling bunny ears
Cons:
-The rotating beads and dong are easy to break.
-Made of Jelly.
This toy was definitely designed
The Rabbit Habit by Vibratex is a Japanese-made toy. It was made famous by the character Charlotte in an episode of "Sex and the City" and was once the best selling dual-action vibrator around when it first came out. It was the first dual-action vibrator that I ever experimented with. There are now several more advanced dual-action toys on the market that are much more powerful and in my opinion better quality.

The dual-action was a unique design when it first came out offering pleasure to the clitoris at the same time as it offered vibrating and rotating penetration. The five inch shaft is filled with small pearl beads that roll around and stimulate the vagina. These often stop when pressure is applied though, which make it a bit useless. The clitoral part features a small bunny whose ears flicker and snuggle the clitoris. This is the best feature of the toy in my opinion and can become addictive. The tickling ears are expert at stimulating the clitoris with feathery caresses that quickly lead you to orgasm.

Unfortunately, I found I was using the rabbit ears more than the penetrating twirling shaft part and began bending the shaft back out of my way so I could use the ears solo. Finally, I managed to break the shaft so it didn't twirl anymore.

I have used other dual-action vibes since, but don't really see what all the hype is about. Although it does do an adequate job, I prefer buying solo toys that are uniquely designed for a specific purpose. If you want a clitoral stimulator then by a Pocket Rocket or Bunny Vibe. If you want penetration, then get a good dong vibe. G-spot vibes work best for the G-spot, naturally. In this case, two heads are not always better than one. The original Rabbit Habit is made of jelly material, which I have issues with as well. I prefer silicone toys because they are less porous and don't contain harsh (perhaps toxic) chemicals.

The Rabbit is not may favorite toy, especially since I broke mine long ago.

This toy just looks too cumbersome, but of course I'm in love with the Eager Beaver so I'd probably have a hard time ever finding a dual action vibe to replace it with.

I'd heartily recommend the original Rabbit Pearl over this toy, just because it has a hand controller that holds 3 C batteries and really overcomes any of the power issues with some other rabbits.

Vibratex actually makes this exact toy in elastomer now, for those that prefer a phthalate-free (aka not jelly) material. :)

It's hard to beat silicone! It is non-porous and therefore able to be cleaned. WE recommend always using condoms with toys made of jelly material, because of the chemical concern and in case you ever want to share them.
