Power stud - traditional vibrator discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by Omakosuri

This toy, through and through, is a classic vaginal vibrator. And while it's simplistic in its design and shape, it makes up for it in its one grand feature; electric power. This little baby comes complete with an AC adapter, meaning it plugs right into your closest outlet and you never have to fear losing power again! I can't tell you how many times I've gone to play and realized that I had no good batteries; it will never happen again! The Power Stud is what every girl should have in her toy chest. It's an average size, good for beginners but nice and supple for advanced users too, and is made of TPE, a jelly material, which allows it to bend slightly and have a little bit of give without feeling too squishy or limp. The base of this toy is nicely tapered, which would allow for some anal play without immediate fear of it becoming lost. It's also great for oral play, as its size is not so big that it becomes impossible to fit in your mouth.

I found that it was very good for solo play, but I do imagine it would be handy for same-sex couples and even heterosexuals who just want to do a little exploring. It's realistic-styled shape would make it perfect for a little Double Penetration action, without involving a third person!

This toy is made from TPE; it is soft, with a little give, but holds its shape well and is firm, assisting in insertion and play. Because it is a more jelly-like material, it is not as sanitary as things like Silicone, so it must be cleaned each time with antibacterial wipes or used with a condom. It cannot be boiled, and especially so in this case as it has an electrical feature. Don't get this baby wet! It won't forgive you.

Like most jelly toys, it does have a bit of a smell when you first pull it out, but given a little time it does go away. As for taste, I didn't notice anything in particular, besides that it tastes like a toy. It's not overly offensive or bitter, and it doesn't linger in your mouth any longer than the toy itself does. Without lubrication, it can be hard to rub with your hands or insert, so a little squirt will help get things going. Once lubed though, it is slick and smooth. This toy is your basic vibrator; it performs in every way like most other jelly vibrators. It's just simply superior because of it's plug-in design. And I love it.

Overall, the Power Stud is designed realistically, and as such works the way it should. There is a nicely tapered head that assists with initial insertion, and a slightly veined shaft, though the veins aren't so defined that you can really feel them during use. If anything, they simply make it look nicer. The base also features some tapered bumps, instead of classic balls, to mark the end of the toy. It's great for preventing anal mishaps, and is also a good place to hold on to when you're using it. While they are very organic looking and might come across as a bit strange to some, they fit nicely with the toy and give it a nice feel.

The vibrating unit in this toy is located right below the head inside the shaft, and the entire toy transfers the vibrations beautifully. That being said, however, it is rather loud and I would recommend not using this during the day in a house with other people around. Even behind a closed door, someone may hear this and become curious as to what it is. Most of our toys are easily masked by the hum of a fan; this one is not. But for a fan of good, carefree fun without batteries, this is an excellent toy!

The vibrations in the Power Stud are produced by a bullet vibrator, located in the middle of the shaft. While the vibrations are not extremely intense, they are good and solid, transferred through the entire toy (including the hand holding the toy, too!) evenly. The vibrations are controlled by your basic dial-base. There are two, three at most, vibration speeds, with the highest being the most intense and also the loudest. Thankfully, the base is not extremely touchy and it takes a bit of a turn before it speeds up again. This toy again is NOT waterproof, despite being made of TPE. It is an Electric Vibrator, and uses an AC Adapter as it's power supply. Do not get this toy anywhere near water lest you wish to ruin it, or electrocute yourself.

TPE is not as easily cared for as silicone and some other products are. This toy cannot be boiled, placed in your dishwasher, or simply dunked and washed with your everyday dishes. The only way to clean this toy is to use either antibacterial toy wipes, which work excellent on this Stud, or to carefully wash the TPE section of it by hand with a mild antibacterial soap and warm water. It cleans up nicely, especially right after play, and dries quickly. It is a jelly-type, so you will want to have a toy box to keep it in, or just pop it right back in the packaging, which is a little flimsy but basic and not much larger than the toy itself. If you leave this lying around, not only will you risk losing the AC Adapter to it (as it unplugs from the toy for easy storage), but you will end up with a little bit of everything in your house stuck to it!
