Silicone Disapointment

My biggest issue with this toy is that I felt the vibrations in my skull while using it, and after I was done, my entire pelvic region was numb. Kind of defeats the purpose if you can't feel anything. I absolutely cannot use it at all, but that is due to my own preferences when it comes to toys. I don't need earth shattering power, nor do I like rigid textured toys, so this just wasn't a good fit for me. This is a well designed toy for someone who likes vibrators like this.

Use

The Silicone Dream is a girthier and moderately textured vibrator. It is designed with an upward facing protrusion to stimulate the g-spot. The motor is extremely powerful in a deep rumbly way that will probably be satisfying for power queens. This is not a toy that I would recommend at all for beginners. It's too girthy, too textured, and too powerful for most beginners. If you know for sure what you like then this may be an option for you.

This toy is not suitable for anal use because it lacks a flared base to prevent it from being pulled into the body.

Material / Texture

This is made from plastic which was then covered in silicone, so while the silicone is plush and has the tiniest amount of give, overall, this is a pretty rigid toy. It's not so rigid that you have to be careful with thrusting, but I don't like rigid toys, and this was too much for me. I was expecting something much more plush out of this.

There are three bulges, and each bulge has a ridge on it. From the picture it didn't seem like a lot of texture, but because this toy is so firm, I could feel the ridges very intensely. It was too much for me. I do not enjoy much texture, so this will be good for those that do, but for me, it was a down side.

The silicone has no drag and feels extremely velvety. The cap on the bottom is plastic, but it also has a velvety finish. It is hard to distinguish the two materials at first, but you can after careful inspection both visually and with your hands.

This toy had no noticeable odors or taste that accompanied it, not does it retain any.

Design / Shape / Size

This is, as I mentioned, bulged. The top most bulge curves up to stimulate the g-spot while the others are more round. This is 8" long, but only 6.5" is insertable. At the widest, it is 5.5" in circumference. This is just barely longer than my hand from finger tip to wrist, but I have larger than average hands for a woman due to being larger than average for a woman in general.

This is a larger vibrator, and one that I would not recommend for beginners to toys due to that. It's not too large that it makes storage difficult, but it isn't a toy I would carry in my purse either. I would happily travel with it if it worked for me, but I also have no sense of embarrassment about the TSA agents seeing my toys.

The battery compartment unscrews and nestles inside is a tray that slide out that you put the 3 AAA batteries that this requires. I love this feature because it makes removing the batteries just that much easier. The control for the functions is a button that is recessed into the bottom, so it doesn't get knock accidentally during use. These two feature were excellent design additions that make this toy just that much more well thought out.

Functions / Performance / Controls

As I mentioned previously, the button is located on the bottom of the toy. There is only one button. It controls both the on/off and the functions. Thus, every time you turn the toy on, it restarts at the first function.

The functions are:

low steady vibration 2 bees
medium steady vibration 3 bees
high steady vibration 4 bees
low revving 2-3 bees
pulsing 3 bees
higher pulsing 4 bees
buzz buzz buzz buzzzzzzzzz 4 bees

You have to cycle through all of the functions to turn the toy off, and if you skip the one you want, you have to cycle back through them all to get to it.

For the power this has, it is extremely quiet. This can be basically completely muffled by a heavy blanket, and there is no way you can hear it through a closed door.

The seal on this is excellent for waterproofing, so feel free to take this on all your aquatic adventures.

Care and Maintenance

This is made from silicone, so it requires a certain amount of care. Silicone can only be used with water based lubricants. Additionally, silicone cannot be stored touching other types of toy materials like other silicones, TPR, UR3, etc.

As for cleaning, Silicone can be serilized by boiling it, putting it in the top rack of your dishwasher, or wiping it with a 10% bleach solution, but the plastic and mechanical parts can't handle the high heat of those, so I suggest sticking to the 10% bleach solution with this one. If you just want to clean it, you can wash this in warm water with mild soap or toy cleaner. This wipes down very nicely, just be extra careful around the ridges. They trap fluids a little.
Follow-up commentary
this never worked for me. the texture and power of it just made me feel numb and sore which is not what you want in a toy. I passed it on to a friend and moved on.
