I have other Fun Factory toys that did not give me this problem, but this is something to remember. New batteries left inside will likely live for about 3 weeks of being in the inactive toy. Despite you being cautious with taking out the batteries, this is a battery guzzler.

This toy is very easy to clean. Just keep in mind that because it has grooves, these must be cleaned as well. A quick rinse won't suffice. I like soaking for a few minutes in warm water with my antibacterial toy cleaner. Before play, I give it a quick spray with my Fun Factory toy cleaner.

Every so often, soaking a few minutes in a good teaspoon of bleach and warm water is a good idea. Just because it is made out of good material and is non-porous does not mean that it will never be dirty. I soak and then use a toothbrush to get into the grooves.

Although the instructions say to clean in lukewarm to warm water, please do not submerge in hot or boiling water. Despite it not being mentioned on the care section, based on the material, I do not see this as a good idea.

A good cleaning regimen keeps your toys safer and extends their lifetime.
