Doc Johnson has brought you a line of vibrating glass in one beautiful toy. There are different ones to pick from that have different shapes, textures, and purposes to the toy. Other vibrating glass toys that are similar are Ecstasy, Glee, Joy, Hope, Peace, Love, Candy Cane, and finally Beauty. This review is about Beauty.

Beauty is meant to be inserted vaginally to provide vibrations internally, but at the same time it provides ribbed texture. It can be used as just a dildo if you are uninterested in the vibrations. You can also use the vibrations on the clit and nipples. You could potentially use this anally, but only if you make sure to keep a good grip in it, since there is no flared base. There being no flared base means that using it anally could result in the anal cavity sucking it inside, so it is best to stick with using it externally anally, by providing vibrations to the anus.

Beauty is ideal for those who like firm toys and girth. It is not a great beginners insertable toy.

Beauty is made of Tempered Glass which is also known as Pyrex glass. Glass is an inorganic and non metallic material with no cystalline structure that is virtually a cooled liquid. This liquid is cooled at a rate crystals can't form and the end result is a glass piece that when it falls or is dropped it won't break into tiny pieces, but larger pieces instead. Like most glass objects they are subject to flaws, so be sure to check your glass piece before using. Glass has a material safety rating of a 10 because it is hypo- allergenic, latex free, phthalates free, and non porous. It is a firm and unforgiving material, so do be careful of thrusting too hard it can bruise the cervix or if your use it orally watch your teeth. The feeling of this glass is not like most other glasses. This glass is almost too smooth for my tastes. The only thing I can think to compare it to is porcelain. It makes me cringe if I run my fingers on it, but inside the vagina I don't feel this. The most wonderful quality about glass is that is can be used in temperature play. It is best to do this by running it under hot or cold water, but make sure the battery compartment is fully sealed.

There is added texture to Beauty which are ripples down the shaft. They provide pressure to the vaginal walls and give a popping sensation.

Beauty is available in white only, but if you like other colors check into the other vibrating glass pieces they are available in many colors. White is not a color I have much of in my toy box, but it really appealed to me on the screen. In person the glass does have a winter appearance to it or like baby powder frosted glass. It is really a beauty.

Beauty is 6.25" long, but only 4.5" is insertable. The shape of the head is tapered to easily insert this toy, but the insertion isn't that easy. The tapered top flares down to a 5" circumference within 1.5" down the toy. Each ripple (3 of them) are 5" circumference (1.5" diameter), but the rest of the shaft is a 4" circumference (1.25" diameter.) Only the insertable part is made of glass and you can see that it is a layer on top of plastic. The bottom cap is made of plastic, which is twisted off to reveal the battery compartment. On this cap it is marked with the Doc Johnson logo and on the bottom is a single click button marked with a 3.

Beauty is really pretty, but it is not discreet, so you should keep it in a discreet storage place. It is travel friendly in the right packaging.

Beauty is powered by 1 AA battery and has three vibration settings. These settings are your basic high, medium, and low vibrations. There aren't any pulsation settings, but I never like those much anyhow. The vibrations are light and weak. They are not going to be enough for a clit of steel lady, but will be good for those who enjoy teaser vibrations or for those more sensitive days. The vibrations are better internally than externally, but still not great. The sound is very quiet, there is no way you can hear this behind a door or under the covers.

The battery slides inside the toy once the bottom cap is removed. With a single click to the button the vibrations turn on and to up the speed one or two more clicks. The majority of the vibrations are located from the middle of the vibrator and up to the top.

Beauty also has the rubber ring around the battery cap and the toy to protect it from water. It is completely waterproof even with submerging.

Beauty is easy to clean with soap and warm water, but toy wipes or toy cleaner will work as well. Be sure to clean it before and after use. You can also share this toy because it can be cleaned with a bleach and water solution in between users, but you can use a condom too.

I recommend getting a toy pouch for storage, because it needs to be protected. Then store it somewhere it won't easily be broken.

Glass is compatible with all of your favorite lubes. I do find that this toy requires a fair amount of lube to insert it.

I am using this package as storage for now, but it is a basic clear box.

Once the item had arrived I pulled it out to test it wasn't defective. My first thought was that the glass was weird. I am not a fan of the feeling of the glass on my hand at all. Then I turned on the vibrations an noticed that they were not going to be strong enough clitorally, but would be fine internally. Since this came with many other wonderful toys, I waited a few days before trying it.

I was able to get some alone time in the bathroom and decided to try it out. I had my handy bottle of Wet Light next to me in case I needed it. I began using the vibrations externally trying to get myself wet enough to use internally, but I was unable to do so. So I applied some lube and began to use it.

The texture along with the vibrations are really nice. Even though the vibrations are weak they are perfect with the texture for me. I like to use this with my Life or Salsa vibe for clitoral stimulation, but that is the only way I can get off completely with this toy. I can't with it alone, however that doesn't mean you won't.
