Fairy massager - rabbit vibrator discontinued by WHK GmbH - review by markeagleone

My wife picked this one out, which for me is like the Fourth of July! It's her very first vibrator she bought for herself, without any badgering from me. It's worth a good celebration! On to the review:

The Fairy Massager is a product by WHK GmbH. It is a vibrator and a clitoral messager. It can be used for solo play, as well as couples. The one big advantage is that it can be used in the shower, bathtub, or on a bed.One can choose from the clitoral massage, or go for the entire workout.

I, personally, would have to say that this toy can be used by beginners and advanced. Although, the design is geared more for the beginner, it has the ease of operation that may be appealing to the advanced users from time to time.

It was a great pick for my wife, who has just started into exploring the use of dual action vibrators. I remember the look on her eyes. I think she thought it would be a bit smaller(she was judging overall size).

The Fairy Massager is made mostly from plastic. Plastic is non-porous and phthalate free. It has an extremely smooth surface, except of coarse the seams.

There is a sleeve, made from TPR. This material is semi-porous and cannot take a great deal of heat. It has a rubbery texture, comparable to silicone. It is not sticky to the touch, but does, somewhat, want to stick to itself.

When the massager first arrived, we didn't really notice that much of a smell to it. The TPR had, what I can only describe as, a slight, rubbery smell. The smell was in no way bad, and the only way we could smell it, was to actually hunt it down. The plastic body was devoid of any type of a scent.

The sleeve has a unique design. The clitoral vibrator is a bullet inserted into the sleeve. That part of the sleeve is in the shape of a bumble bee. Its two antennae do the work of teasing the clitoris, and the head of the bee provided a full contact on the clitoris for maximum stimulation. The two small wings are also unique to watch. When you are holding the massager and the have the clitoral vibrator running, the bumble bee's wings pulsate almost like a hummingbird's wings.

The shaft portion of the massager has its own unique design. It reminds me of the growth of a flower stem with the head being the portion where the flower emerges. The head is shaped like half an egg. The shaft, itself, has five (growth) ribs on it. At the bottom, there are twelve round indents, but really serve no purpose to the design or use.

The controls are mounted on a rectangular box attached to the handle. This makes it quite easy to locate the conrols, even in the dark. It is very simple to control, having only the two buttons(More on this in the function section).

The very nature of this design puts it into the beginners catagory. I would also like to say that people who are advanced shouldn't rule this one out. It has the simplest of designs and control features. Yes, the higher priced vibrators may have alt of bells and whistles to them, but sometimes it's nice to get back to the simpler things in life. This one will give you a great experience, with little to no effort.

OK, I will start at this products name sake, and work on from there. As I stated earlier, the bee is actually made from the sleeve. It is not directly attached to the shaft. It is a bullet vibrator with two wires attached to the unit. The bee is 2 1/4 inches long at its uppermost attachment to the sleeve. It sits at approximately 40 degree angle to the sleeve, with a slight inward bend to the head and antennae, which put it back to around 20 degrees. The antennae are 5/8 inch long, with rounded ends. The fairy sits 4 1/2 inch from the tip, giving it the insert-able length.

The head on the shaft is 3/4 inch long. The next three segments are also 3/4 inch long, and the last segment is 5/8 inches long, before the base rib. It has a molding seam that divides the the entire sleeve in half, but is insignificant to texture and feel. Each of the segments also has four notches in them, in a straight line, parallel to each other. The shaft measures 1 1/4 inches in diameter,with the lowermost ridge measuring 1 3/8 inches in diameter.

The overall length of the sleeve is 6 1/4 inches. The handle is 3 inches for an overall length of 9 1/4. The handle has three finger ridges, for a better grip. The control box is 1 inch by 2 1/4, with 1/4 inch added height from the round handle, for ease of locating. The handle is 1 3/16 in diameter, with the battery cover measuring 1 1/2 in diameter. There are five nubs on the battery cover to facilitate cover removal.

The controls on the Fairy Massager are quite simple. The upper button is the on/off button for rotate and the lower button is the on/off for the clitoral vibrator. The control box is easy to locate, even in the dark(or out of sight). It is a one speed vibrate and rotate. It gets back to the simpler of times, like on the old cars, push button and go!

The clitoral vibrator sounds like a high speed battery operated shaver. Its sound changes to a louder, deeper buzzing when in use and contact with my wife's body. The shaft is similar to an electric shaver, but becomes less loud when in use. There is also a vibrator bullet, or mechanism in the shaft. It operates when in rotation. Those vibrations are at the head of the shaft.

The vibrations are quite good considering the power supply of four AAA batteries. We have used this to multiple times in and out of the shower and tub and yet have not had the batteries run down.

The shaft rotates between the fourth and the last segment. Its rotation is approximately 1/2 inch in diameter at the head. It also rotates as a complete circle.

This particular toy is also waterproof. The buttons have a rubber cover, which also makes them easy to operate. There is a o-ring on the seat for the battery cover. We had no water present in the battery compartment, in our wet playtime sessions.

Care for this toy is quite simple. The design page here at Eden says TPR and the box says TPE for the sleeve. For all intensive purposes, these are one in the same. It cannot be boiled to sanitize, so if you share, wear a condom. I, personally, don't recommend sharing. Better safe than sorry!

This toy can be cleaned with toy cleaner or soap and warm water. It can be uses with silicone or water based lube, but my wife and I prefer the water based lube. Again, better safe than sorry. We have a wide variety of toys, but they all are so far compatible with water based lubricants.

This toy takes four AAA batteries. Remove the batteries for extended storage times. I would also having an extra set on hand, so the playtime isn't interrupted by a lack of power.

For the storage of this toy, I recommend a zip-lock bag. The material the sleeve is made from attracts dust, lint and hair. It can also be stored in the shipping container for protection. My recommendation is to make sure it is thoroughly dry before storage.

The box this toy came in is also simple. It is 11 inches tall by 1 3/4 deep and 4 1/2 wide. It has a window, which shows the toy from the front. It says it has rotation and vibration. It also states the claim that it has 24 beads, but don't believe that. I found no such thing inside this toy.

The back shows the picture, but it is a different style toy. The only directions are on the back for battery installation. I also could not find the manufactures name on the box, so I went by the description here at Eden. There is also no country of origin labeled on the box or visible on the toy, itself.

There is a two layered plastic molded case for the toy inside. It is adequate for storage, but nothing else to say of it.

OK, all that being said, now is my chance and my chance to give my honest opinions. As I stated earlier, this toy is more for the beginner or entry level people into the wide variety world of rabbit dual vibrators. It does have some subtle qualities that may appeal to the more advanced users from time to time, but I don't think this one will be at the forefront of the toy collection.

I noticed that the clitoral bullet is prone to making a lot of noise at times. This can be remedied by shifting the sleeve carefully. The actual bullet has no protection from the plastic shaft, and there by makes a noise similar to setting a bullet on the table when in use.

As far as use, yes I did the controlling, but my wife can describe first hand feeling with this toy. I have to say it was easy to control and also light enough weight that I never became fatigued. It was also extremely nice to watch her take the laid-backed, comfortable way of achieving orgasm, without launching into it like a rocket. So, without further ado, my wife:

This was a purchase that I made that I really can't explain. I thought it looked cute and it was purple and yes, I know one should not buy toys for those reasons. When this arrived, I was horrified at the size of the thing. I have never had a rabbit vibrator before and did not realize the massive size.

Once the shock wore off, I took a good look at it. It is not a fairy that I see on it but I swear it is a "bumble-bee", so that is what I am going to refer to it as.

The shaft of this is very intimidating. With all the ridges or plates, it reminds me of a armored dinosaur. The shaft is a bit squishy in feel, but that does not mean that it is not sturdy though. The tip of the Fairy Massager is very pliable.

The vibrations were strong for me, but I am a novice with these types of toys. The "bumble-bee" was spot on for clitorial sensations. The shaft was the most concerning part to me with all the "plates". I was surprised that you hardly feel them, there also was no dragging while being inserted and moved back out. The bumble-bee had no trouble bringing me to climax.

The size of this may be to intimidating for beginners, such as I, but it is smaller than most other toys in this genre. We took it slow because of my uncomfortable feelings towards the Fairy Massager.

The nice thing about this Fairy Massager is that if you turn it backwards, so that the bumble-bee has his back to you, there are strong enough vibrations to let you a wonderful clitorial experience. That way the size for beginners does not become an issue, because you don't have to insert the shaft.

Although, I enjoyed this toy, it probably will not be used very often. I did use it in water and you do have to make sure that the battery compartment is tightly sealed. I did not have any problems with it being submerged, but I would err on the side of caution if you do this.

I would recommend this for beginners because it is smaller than most. It does still have a intimidating factor on appearance, but overall it is a gentle toy. I like that it easily introduced me to this kind of experience.
