Share your photos

Per a suggestion of Sam (aka Jul!a), I figured I'd start a thread where anyone interested can post their photos for others to view. This will be separate from the Eden Photographers Club posting of photos to be critiqued, so feel free to post whatever you want here for others to enjoy, not to analyze with a critical eye.

To work, the photos will need to be hosted at a photo-hosting site like Flickr, Photobucket, Zoomr, etc., and then linked via the bottom code listed under the Links and formatting "i" above where you type in your post.

I should mention that to share an image using the code EF specifies, you will need the actual image, not the link to the site that hosts it. You will know it is the actual image if the URL ends in ".jpg" (or .tif, or .gif, or whatever photo compression you used). If you can't figure out where to get just the image, just right-click on the photo you want to share and select "Copy Image Location" from the dropdown menu. Then all you have to do is paste it into the code as your photo's URL.

Also, please try and keep the photo size relatively small. The one I posted above, for instance, is 500 x 333 pixels.

Thanks. This was one of my first truly artistic attempts, and I still think it stands the test of time. The reason the greens look so strange, BTW, is because I had a couple of these milkworts actually touching my lens and I photographed through them to get the gauzy, yellowed look this photo has.

Since I talk of Montana ...

All these photos were taken with a Photosmart hp315 digital camera and haven't been fiddled with.

This is a phenomenon known as hoar frost, when the humidity in the air literally freezes onto objects.

And this is one of the willow trees in our yard next to the neighbor's pasture. The autumn was gorgeous in the Bitterroot Valley.

Last one, I promise.

A rainbow in autumn, over our landlord's new orchard.

I've got a ton, but here's a few:

This one is of an old Valiant I saw at an antique car show.

Here's one of a 58 Edsel from the same show.

And here's a random one of my feet, lol

I especially enjoyed the one of your feet, Sam. Of course, I'm biased, as I have a fetish for...sepia tones.

Anyone know how to get a bigger pic from Flickr? I can't seem to get a good link for the larger picture...

I would like bigger pictures from Flickr also.

Here's our white lilac last spring.

Tim, I love your rooster. He's guarding his women!

Yes, and he does it well. We have not lost one since he took over.

When you select the picture you want, under "Actions" select "view all sizes." You should then have 6 sizes available to you.

Thanks, Kindred. I didn't know that was available. What would I do without you guys?

Let's see. Puppy in the snow.

I took this at the local sugar bush 2 years back. That little drip? A sweet drop of Maple sap that eventually made its way to someones pancakes

In Jan, we took a weekend trip to Tremblant and this was a snow spiral that rolled its way down a mountain side.

This is a pretty wildflower in the French Alps. It really stood out to me because all the flowers around it were white or yellow.

This is a statue in Geneva

And this is a view from the canals of Venice. I just loved the architectural details combined with the greenery cascading down.

... I feel like I need to defend the fact that I only went to these places through my undergraduate university for various courses.

I do too... lol. I have a lot of photos from car shows, but being in a lowrider car club does that. And I've got some neat nature ones I took at my grandparent's house a year or two ago. I need to get the battery charged in my nice camera and get back at this.

I think you need to click on the picture, and then select which size you want to view it in. But I have no idea, because I generally use photobucket and imageshack.
