One of my cats did that to my Dad's boots when I was little. He put on his uniform and was heading out the door when he realized his boot had been violated. My mom couldn't tell the story with a straight face...

Airen you caught post #200 which means you are the next winner of the next gift card!

Just please don't use it to buy Oprah any lingerie!

I solemnly promise never to buy Oprah lingerie either to wear or because she is hawking it on her show!

We're running out of time... so speaking of Valentine's Day, I want to know what is your idea of the perfect romantic Valentine's Day experience?

Personally, despite being married for more than 20 years, I've spent about half of those Valentine's Days alone because my husband is in the military. So when I'm alone, I take myself out for a decadent lunch (bringing a long a book to read), get a pedicure or massage, buy myself something frivolous (Godiva chocolate, a bottle of wine, some pretty underwear) and spend the evening watching chick flicks, followed by a bubble bath and something sexy to read, then slipping between freshly laundered sheets completely naked and more reading. Not bad for a romantic holiday alone, right? (He's home this year-- no idea how we'll spend it!!)

Good question, and that reminds me I should do something for myself even if I am alone this VD. The chick flick and bubble bath sounds good, but I'll need a hotel room for the bath, mine's too small.

But I do not think there can be a perfect St-Valentine's Day, as long as it makes you feel good, it should be enough.

We don't celebrate Valentine's day Sigel and I but in Feb 2, (Imbolg) we will have a lovely dinner generally cooked at home, we will gently tease each other all day and then that night we spend some time being together and intimate. Sometimes that leads to amazing sex sometimes just wonderful communication. A gentle night with a touch of fire to celebrate the holiday.

Since Arch does celebrate Valentine's Day it is usually his day. He will plan a lovely evening and a small gift. Sometimes Sigel joins us but mostly we are allowed to have a loving night alone.

We usually take turns surprising each other for each Valentine's Day and I can't say that any have been more perfect than the rest. It always involves going somewhere private together or getting the house to ourselves though. This year it's his turn and he *refuses* to even give me a hint at what we'll be doing.

Well, I meant *perfect* for *you*! And I think getting a hotel room for yourself is an absolutely wonderful and decadent way to spend Valentine's Day!

Getting flowers, then going out to a romantic candlelight dinner, followed by a movie (you'd laugh if I listed some of what we've seen on Valentine's Day!), and a passionate encounter when we get home.

I am SO happy to be alone this Valentines Day. I am looking forward to a VERY hot bubble bath, a ton of candles and a really good book. Followed by a masturbatory frenzy.

For us, it's being able to spend time alone together. We normally try to take a weekend to just be by ourselves and relax.

I wouldn't laugh! I love all kinds of movies! I think snuggling in a dark theater is romantic no matter what you're watching!

I'll probably get myself some chocolates from Lake Champlain Chocolates, even better than Godiva in my opinion, have a large glass of good wine, watch some "Bones" on Netflix, read something for pleasure, probably one of the Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton. No bath for me, 'cause my tub refuses to hold water, which is fine for showers so I haven't bothered to fix it. But just take time for myself.

By the way, for anybody who wants to continue the conversation, we certainly can. I know we shorted things up and some of us may have places to be (like in bed, for Kristina, I imagine ) but we don't have to enforce a 10pm curfew by any means.

In recent years, we've gone to Friday the 13th and My Bloody Valentine, to name a few

That's perfect-- just the simplicity of knowing you'll be spending time together! And for a whole weekend? Delicious!

I've never had Lake Champlain Chocolates. Never even heard of them! Hmm...

And I love the Anita Blake series. Waiting for the next one!

This is actually not a bad idea. I was editing Sinclair Sexsmith's column earlier and he makes mention of Valentine's Day being celebrated as a "single's awareness day" (just briefly in the over all column) and I was thinking that for single peeps, celebrating "being single" and the benefits of that is not a bad idea.
