It's a start-off point of figuring out what muscles are used for the exercises. Knowing that they're the ones that control urine flow helps in doing normal Kegel exercises later. I wouldn't suggest using this method exclusively as it can contribute to a urinary tract infection.

Or you can invest in a pair of vaginal weights and do the same thing throughout the day, except when you're not peeing. There's like a million different kinds weights you can pick up from here. I recommend Fun Factory's Smartballs or SinFive Emigi.

You do not want to hold in your urine like this, but it is kegel exercises. Ms. Spice has nice recommendations.

I'm going to have to agree with Chilipepper, tampering with your equipment like that can lead to damaged goods. Also, being open with your partner about the issue wouldn't hurt. My partner has a vagina that could sharpen a pencil, but I actually find it more enjoyable when her muscles are relaxed and open. There's never any shame in self improvement, but if it ain't broke don't fix it!

Was going to say exactly this.

Identify those muscles, and then practice squeezing them when you're not peeing. Kegel exercises are great for pelvic health and can contribute to better orgasms.

Kegels can also help prevent urinary tract infections and pelvic injuries...

I think my doc told me this after i had a baby. But after three years of no intercourse I don't have to worry about that.

Yeah, holding in your pee is not a great idea, but investing in a vaginal exerciser is a great idea.

I agree. The way I first figured out what a kegel exercise was when someone described it as the "stopping while peeing" sensation.
