I'm weighing these right now, too (as in, typed in the search bar and saw that this post was just 45 minutes fresh), so I thought I'd link all the other discussions that have been started so people can do extra reading before they vote.
most people here liked Hitachi,

this thread is from when the Fairy wands were brand new, so more people chose the Fairy here

I will choose the Hitachi, hands down, every time.
Why?
Vibrations: The Hitachi is rumbly and the vibrations penetrate deeper, without causing me numbing sensations, on either setting.
The Fairy Wand is also rumbly , but only in the low to mid settings(the mid on the Fairy Wand is about where the Hitachi's low setting is). Once you pass the mid on up to the highest setting, the rumble is gone and the vibrations turn buzzy, numbing me up in just a few minutes.
Head Hardness: The Hitachi's head is a bit squishy, so it will give a bit (or bounce, if you will) when pressed into the pubic bone.
The Fairy Wand's head is hard. There is no give in the material at all. The Fairy has left me with a sore pubic bone on more than one occasion and even a bruise.
Cleaning: The Hitachi is easier to clean, it only has one indentation around the head.
The Fairy Wand is a bitch to clean! I had to designate a toothbrush for cleaning the Fairy's head. There isn't just one indentation, there are 5 distinct grooves on the head and an accordion style neck (Heaven forbid anything get on that, and need cleaning!)
