Heh, I know this doesn't LOOK like a list of just favorites, but I've got almost 400 GB of music, so this IS actually a list of what I like and actively listen to most often.

Oh, I also love anything by the Muppets. Not a joke.

I love you. And My Chemical Romance as well. Rise Against, All American Rejects, Panic At The Disco, The Used, and omg so many more, all get played a lot by me.

I used to love AFI! Unwritten Law is my favorite (J is taking me to see them because I was nice and sat through Flyleaf with a friend). Also: Sprung Monkey, Blink 182 (no judging), A New Found Glory, Rise Against, Weezer, Sublime (clearly this is a past love), and Pennywise (saw them live and fell in love). Oh and for unknown reasons Disturbed.

I am sure I can think of like 100 more though.

Pink Floyd is for sure awesome. I've had the privilege of seeing them in concert during their Division Bell tour, and then a few years after I got to see Roger Waters (although not on his latest tour... bummed about that). It was just... there are no words. Absolutely incredible.

Other bands I claim are favorites... Sister Hazel (whom I've been able to meet! And have most of their albums!) The Doors, Shinedown, Metallica, and The Who. I have a very eclectic taste in music

Ooh, I forgot All American Rejects...they're new for me, but I'm really liking what I've heard so far. If you like them and My Chemical Romance, and I'm going to need to check out the others. I'm especially intrigued by the name "The Used"...

Dammit. I hate it when people suggest good music! I usually buy on Amazon, and of course, it pulls up the dreaded and deadly "You might also like..." that only ends 2 hours and $300 later...

The Used has made a lot of musical growth over the years, the first album is heavier into the screaming and generally categorized as "obscenely emo". You might find yourself liking their more recent album, Lies For The Liars. Although after looking at the Wiki page, it seems they had more albums than I thought, lol

And I'm the same way, which is why I try to avoid discovering new music, it always ends up in me buying lots of it, lol

"Obscenely Emo" works for me. Kind of backwards, but I like it because I find it amusing. Hell, I've got Rasputina on my list. I think they're as emo (and goth) as you can probably get and actually still be alive. If anyone reading this has never heard them, check out a sample clip (I think "Dig Ophelia" is one of their most 'accessible' songs.) Everyone I know who likes them pretty much spent the first six months in a thought progression along the lines of "wtf IS this shit?" "Who the hell listens to this shit?" to "Why the hell am *I* listening to this shit?" It's like an audible train wreck. I think many of their fans actually remain in the "why the hell am I STILL listening to this shit?"

If there's anyone out there who is amused and entertained by over-the-top morbidity (I also love disaster movies and documentaries on mass-extinxtion events), if you haven't heard it already, try "Murder Ballads" by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. It's full of campy tongue-in-cheek tragic goodness!

You'll have to let me know if you check out The Used at all. Most of my friends won't listen to them, I think I have like, one that does, lol

Also have to say AC/DC! Saw them live this spring and don't think another concert could possibly top Angus and Brian running around and screaming for more than two solid hours!
