My ex-girlfriend and I did the swinging thing for about a year. Sexually, it was the wildest 12 mos. I've ever experienced. However, there are certainly many "issues"(both obvious and obscure)involved with that lifestyle. I'm really glad I got to experience it, but I'm not sure that I would do it again. How do you feel about it?

If it interests you, I'd say go for it. As long as you're careful, it can be unbelievable. We also met some really balanced and together people. We were both pleasently surprised at how "normal" most of the people we met, turned out to be.

Well, there are numerous swinger sites and magazines. You can scan the ads for something that sounds like a good fit. Also, you can post your own ad and be as specific as you like, as to what your interests are. We found posting our own ad worked best for us. It's funny you mentioned being shy. When we first got started I was much more apprehensive than I'd ever imagined I would be. Luckily, that anxiety didn't last too long.

To the original poster: can you elaborate on the issues that come about in this type of lifestyle, besides possible jealousy?

One of the aspects of that lifestyle which we really hadn't given much forethought or consideration to, was the interrelationship of the OTHER couple. On two seperate occasions we had to end things rather abruptly. In each of those instances (different couples), the guys were disrespectful to their partners. Fortunately, in our short but sweet taste of swinging, we never encountered anyone who was ever rude or disrespectful to US. The vast majority of our experiences were fun and exciting, including a lot of laughing, learning and awesome girl/girl and partner swapping sex.
