Yeah that was my assumption as well. I don't really mind, I probably shouldn't try to take on too much all at once anyways.

I just received my notice that I was declined. :-(

I'm hoping that the people who are accepted post that here too.

I'm still waiting on my answer, actually. But... I get the feeling I'm gonna be declined as well. But one can still hope! And I am hoping and crossing all fingers and toes!

I figure that the longer it takes the more the likelihood that I'll be accepted. Crossed fingers...

I was sitting on this hope too, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up!

I didn't apply the day that it was up; I applied on November 30th. I'm still waiting too.

Sorry to totally change the subject here, but what do we do if someone edited something in our review that we feel didn't need edited? Can we change it back or talk to the editor or what? (NOTE to the editor of my review: this is *NOT* a bashing on you girl! You are super nice and your reviews are awesome!) It's just stylistically one tiny little thing could have remained as I had it and it was changed. It just bugged me a little bit because I feel it changed the voice of my sentence. (I know...one sentence, one punctuation mark, not THAT big of a deal... I may be griping a bit here but I'm very possessive of my writing.) How do we handle something like that?

You go into your Assignment cart and edit the review back.

The only problem with that, is that the editor gets voted on for the editing job. So if it is changed afterward, it might reflect in their voting. Not sure what the best way to deal with this is.

Yes, that's true. But there's nothing that we can do about it. Technically, the reviewer has the right to change it back to whatever it was, whether it was grammatically correct or not.

For the record, it was one of those "either way is correct" situations. I chose a comma stylistically instead of a semicolon. I do have a college degree and I'm a former high school teacher, so I know for a fact both ways could be correct, depending on the intent of the author. The semicolon changed the way the sentence was read.

See, this is why I asked before I just did anything. I wanted to make sure that I wasn't stepping on toes or pissing people off. The person who edited my review is very smart, and I'm sure she didn't see it as so much of a stylistic choice in punctuation as I did.

If either way could be correct then the editor should have left it as is. Send them a message (for courtesy) and then edit it back.

I know that in your case it was. I was meaning for other cases, as NuMe was talking in general.

Mine's still awaiting approval as well, but it is not too big of a deal to me. The way I see it, everything happens for a reason

There are three reviews on the task list that are glitched and linking back to our own review list. They are: 1024, 1048, and 1051. They are all from the same reviewer and do not appear to have been published.

I just came across another issue. There are several reviews being posted by a new reviewer that are plagiarized from the original descriptive reviews. I marked 3 and sent them to the administrator, but there are currently 3 more: 1057, 1058, and 1059. Editors, do not forward these to an administrator. Just leave them on the list and ignore them.

The problem I encountered is that by forwarding 3 of the reviews to an administrator, I neither get any points/credit for it and I'm also locked out of being able to edit anymore reviews. The system considers the 3 I forwarded as my allotment of 3 for the day.

I have also emailed Gary to notify him of the situation and hopefully he can get those bogus reviews removed.

This is the most awesome reason for the Editing program! Catching those plagiarizers!

I haven't heard back either, but I don't know if I'll be accepted. Fingers crossed!

There are 6 more "suspicious" reviews which I can not confirm since I can't look at them. However, they are all of the same product type as the other bogus reviews and the titles all have the same format. Sigh...

Maybe another editor can confirm that they are bogus and report here? However, do not forward them as that will count towards your daily allotment. Just release the task afterwards and leave it on the list until this gets resolved.

Yeah, I am thinking that all the current reviews in the task list are bogus and seem to be written by the same "author." There is no information included in the reviews that cannot be taken from the product specs page and the person has copied/pasted certain info in each of the reviews.

Just bumping this because there now appear to be 24 bogus reviews on the list.

Send them back to admin. We'll take care of it from there

Thanks!

I can't. I did three and the system counts them as my daily allotment. I'm locked out from taking any more.

I sent two of these plagiarized reviews to the admin last night and emailed Gary about it. Kinda wish I had just let them be so I wasn't locked out of editing more for now.
