What would you rather receive...

depends on how permanaent you want the gift to be, I'd always vote for flowers over chocolates, but there are dried or glass flowers, they're a little more permaent so probably not the thing to give someone you might not want to stick around with for a while.

i'm not fond of anyone spending a ludicrus amount of money on something that's going to die, but, i chose flowers because I don't like chocolates.
So, I would go with something other than roses, because in my experience the are way overpriced and die immediatly.

I'm not big on flowers or chocolates, I'd prefer something a little more individual.
That being said, chocolate is mighty tasty.

I'm not a traditionalist, and I've always hated flowers. Lately I'm kind of craving any kind of attention from the boy (he's deployed so even a snail-mail letter would be exciting), so flowers would be totally cool. He did send a box of chocolate covered strawberries when he was deployed last time, and they were awesome, but I did give him a hard time for spending $80 on something he couldn't be here to enjoy with me.

I'd go with the chocolate, personally.

I agree. I would rather be able to enjoy a plant for longer, rather than have dead flowers. Although, I wouldn't want chocolate either as the effects of that also last!

I'd prefer the chocolates, unless they had nuts or coconut in them.

High quality dark chocolate is almost better than an orgasm. I've never understood the appeal of flowers.

I'd love flowers. I've never gotten them before. It would make me feel special and I'd probably blush. I'm a sucker for romance

I've always thought flowers were so pretty, yet such a waste of money. Chocolate is wonderful, but what if it's the wrong kind? Basically it's the thought that counts... *le sigh* go with a little of both and cover your bases?

I voted chocolate. Flowers are romantic and nice sometimes, but chocolate is... chocolate. In general, coming from a man I'd rather have something more creative, though.

Chocolate and flowers are both nice, but I'd rather get something that has meaning and last a long time. For generations my family has used 143 to tell each other I love you, something simple like it engraved on a lock or stainless steel ring would mean more to me then flowers and chocolate.

Or a thing guys may not always think of, getting a good picture of the two of you nicely framed is a great gift. It's a nice way to hold on to those happy moments.

I would like a good box of chocolates, none of those cheap Valentine's ones. I can't eat flowers and usually hate the way the smell. Chocolate doesn't make me sneeze, either.

Flowers are a bad gift to me because they do not last very long and die off easily.

I choose flowers but a living plant would be fabulous. Something like a peace lily or a orchid.

Chocolate because I'm not a flowers type of person, I mean are pretty but they die and then I have to throw them out. I'd much rather have a nice box of chocolates that i can treat myself from now and again.

I'm also not a fan of either thing. I mean, I love chocolate and I love flowers, but they have no special meaning for me. For a gift to have meaning to me, it needs to have a relation to something I really love, or a shared interest or experience with my partner.
