How to get rid of that Nasty Jelly Smell?

Contributor: MissMori MissMori
Hey everyone, I'm looking for some advice on getting jelly smell out of my box. Wait, maybe I should make that more clear . . .
I have one jelly toy that I got as a gift. I've learned about its evil ways since then, but I had put it, wrapped in a towel, in the wooden box I keep all my things in. It was in there long enough for the smell to soak into the box and now I am looking for tips on how to get rid of that smell! I'm letting it air out, but boy does that ever linger. Has anyone else dealt with this? I really like my toy box and want to be able to use it again!

Try wiping it out with white vinegar. That stuff takes the smell out of everything.

Can you leave it somewhere outside safely? On the porch? Depending on the material of the box, the fresh air can do wonders for getting out funks!

Thanks! Later today I can try the vinegar and leave it on my deck to dry. Hopefully that'll do the trick!
