We voted 6" - but 5.5 is 'optimal' - this is 1.75" diameter like the Fun Factory Tiger - one of my wife's favorites. However occasionally she will go up to 2" dia. which is about 6.25" circumference.

My preference is about 4 3/4". 5" is just a leeeeetle too big for me, but I can take it. Taking 5" is like, a once-in-a-while thing, where 4 3/4" is more regular.
I prefer something not too small but not too big either. Being my fiance is gone a lot for training, I like something thats roughly the same size as him
Between 5 and 6 inches. Honestly, even a full 6 is a stretch for me unless I am super warmed up. Generally, even on bigger dildos, I insert about 4 inches, and thrust with another 1 or 2.
I don't do much penetration when playing by myself. My g-spot and basically all of my nerves are within inches of the opening to my vagina. I don't like them to be much longer than that. Vibrations up by my cervix are uncomfortable.
I could even go down to 4 inches depending on the other attributes of the toy. but 5 inches is my fave. if it is longer than that many toys (other than rabbits) can just be inserted part way.
Have to multi-speed - waterproof is nice, some flexibility is good - but it doesn't have to be bendable - and my wife doesn't care for the pulsing patterns.
When it comes to toy shopping, if the toy is not waterproof, I close the window without even a second glance. It is the most important thing for me. Multispeeds/intensity is number two.
Waterproof is #1 for me. (I never use them in the bath, but it helps so much for cleanup.) Also multi-speed is a MUST, and rechargeable is a HUGE bonus too.
I love the pulsing features --variable speed and pulse are important to me. But the ability to shift it easily and intuitively so I don't lose the momentum right up there.
Waterproof is the best one, and it can't just be twist-to-turn-on waterproof, that isn't good enough, because then you have to potentially expose the battery compartment to water in order to turn it off.
Multi-speed is my favorite one and then waterproof. I have to have one that starts a t alower speed and as my body gets used to it gradually increase. I can't take all power all the time. It's too much and too intense for me.
I prefer swirled, nubbed, or ribbed texture on my glass toys and sometimes I like veins on my silicone toys. However I find that I do not enjoy texture on silicone as much so many of my silicone toys are smooth.
Maybe it's just me, but I've never been a fan of smooth if it doesn't rotate or have some curves to its shape. I like lines running across it, swirly or veined. Something that I can feel length-wise as well as across. If that makes any sense. XD
Material safety isn't a huge issue for us - but where possible we go for silicone, but if a jelly or TPR toy look interesting we give them a try. I just wish I could find the magic formula for getting rid of the odor!
Non-porous, non-porous, non-porous and did I mention non-porous. I just finished a whole class on the way microbes like bacteria and fungi live and breed and YEESH the thought of those sitting around in something I'm going to put on such a sensitive area really creeps me out.

Exactly. I love my glass and silicone. (for some reason I feel like glass is better for this though.)
I wish I could vote for more than one of these options; because I am allergic to latex I was forced to choose "latex-free" without consideration of the other safety features. However, all of them are important to me, and almost all of our toys fit into all of these categories at the same time!
I voted for Non-porous (being sterilizable is important, especially since I like to keep toys for a long time), but I would also never buy a toy with Phthalates.
I chose non-porous, but phthalates would be the second choice. I want to make sure that anything that is going in or on the delicate areas of my body are sterile and non-toxic.
all are important. I don't use latex because it isn't vegan. But that isn't to do with it as a SAFETY feature, rather a material preference. so I voted non porous.
We love metal & glass, silicone is 3rd on our list. Don't bother with acrylic because glass is so much better. Nothing against wood or ceramic - just that there isn't anything there that we don't get from the others. Don't do rubber - but we do have a few jelly toys.
Are there any inexpensive jack rabbit vibrators made in materials other than jelly? I don't want to have such an unsafe material, but I don't think I'll like a regular vibrator. I wish I didn't have to settle
I prefer silicone, but I am good so long as it is body safe. I know people love their rabbits, but many are jelly and there is NO way in hell that is getting near my body
I like buying with the high vroom vroom vroom as possible. Just because. I usually use a toy on the medium setting anyways, but it makes me feel better to know that it can go higher for those days when I want to tease. Or tease someone in return.
There's no way my body can handle 5 vrooms starting out. Maybe if there was a gradual increase from 1-5 on a product that would be nice. My body has to get adjusted to the intensity or otherwise I start jumping about if it's too strong too soon.
I'm not sure how much I would pay. I've had very bad luck with expensive vibrators. Expensive dildos are great though. The best vaginal vibrator I've used is the inexpensive Dreamer's Bliss.

I agree. I feel dildos are more reliable, so I'd pay 80 and up for a dildo I really want.
I tend to read reviews before I buy anything to begin with, but if the quality is good, it's safe and reliable, and the reviews are good, I'd be willing to pay quite a bit.
Most I'd pay online for a vibrator is probably about 60-80ishUSD (give or take). If there was one that was more expensive that I wanted, I would need to see it in a store first. Touch it feel it, read the booklet that comes with it, feel the motors hum etc... Then I'd buy it either online or in the store. Which ever is cheaper.
It really does depend on the design, material and features but generally it would have to be really special to pay anything near $100 when so many do so well for much less.
I read alot of reviews so if it was a more expensive item that has great reviews, that I would consider working for my body, I would save up and buy one. Though it is nicer to have inexpensive ones that have the features the luxury ones do though.
I have had 3 vibrators that were about $100, i did lots of research on them on multiple sites before spending that much, and they've been worth every penny. But having a bunch of cheap ones laying about for different purposes is also nice
I voted "other" because I'm not that picky about color. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate a pretty sex toy, but I don't look at the color when it's inside me.

Other - Anything that isn't trying to look like the real thing. for some reason flesh tones toys just don't appeal to me
Yeah, all the excessively realistic ones just look like dismembered dongs... Do these people wait behind bushes with machetes?? Should we be supporting them???
This was a hard question! It still really depends on the type of toy- rabbit, any crazy color!; realistic dildo, medium brown/tan; njoy toys- silver of course!
I like green, red, and silver best. Anything with the swirly shimmery colors always looks cute, and odd colors (yellow, orange, etc.) or multicolor ones are always nice.
anything but pink! I have pink stuff, but I try to avoid it. there is so much of it. and purple is often the next choice, so I'm getting sick of some purples.
Seconding the deep vibration and g-spot curve, and throwing in that texture can be a good thing. If a toy has no feel to it I barely notice it's there.
I found my perfect vibrator. Fun Factory's waterproof Semi realistic G-spot twist. He is one year old and I've not met another vibrator that has piqued my interest beyond a passing... oh that looks fun!!!
I don't want it to be too noisy. i havce two kids so discretion is nice if I want to pleasure myself while they're home. Otherwise if it's loud I have to wait until they're in bed.
