Acetate is a synthetic fiber which is based on cotton or tree pulp cellulose. The acetate fibers have passed their peak as cheap petro-based fibers and have displaced regenerated pulp fibers.
Properties
Acetate is a soft, smooth and resilient material. It has no allergenic potential (is hypoallergenic) and a poor thermal retention.
