Cobalt bubble plug - butt plug by Don Wands - review by Shanna Germain

This toy is gorgeous. It comes with its own pretty blue bag, but the color of the plug is so beautiful and the toy is so heavy and well-made that more often than not, I'm tempted to leave it out on the coffee table just to look at it. Of course, it never stays anywhere for very long anyway -- this has become our go-to toy when it comes to anal sex.

There are a couple of reasons for this:

First, the material is so smooth that all you need is a little lube and it slides right in, despite its size. This also makes it incredibly easy to clean -- I just use an antibacterial soap and let it air dry.

The shape is also ooh, yummy, with just the right amount of bumps and rolls so that it hits all the sensitive spots on the way in, and then continues to stimulate them after it's hilted. It goes deep enough that all it takes is a tap or a wiggle, and the softly pointed end hits all my nerve-endings, which never fails to make me gasp.

One thing that is both a delight and a drawback is how heavy the toy is. I tried to stand up with it in, and it fell right out because of the weight. But for doggy-style, the weight is a wonderful thing. Just the smallest vibration or tap on the base, and gravity does the rest, sending it downward into just the perfect spot. That feature along is enough for me to love this toy -- I can't tell you how often the smallest shift is enough to send me over the edge.

Overall, this is a fantastic toy, especially for the price. Gorgeous to look at, both on the coffee table and in-use, slippery feel and texture, orgasm-inducing shape... what more can you ask for in an anal toy? It's such a great deal that if they made them in other colors, I would buy one of each, just to have them all.

When the toy arrived, the boy and I took a few minutes to 'ooh' and 'aah' over how pretty it was. And then he finally said what we'd both been thinking: "It's heavy. And huge."

"I know," I said. We kept looking at it and then at each other.

"Too big?" he asked.

"We won't know unless we try," I said. I couldn't put the toy down.

"Let's try then," he said as he wrestled it away from me.

I thought for sure it was going to be too big. Far too big. And then, as we were playing around with it, I heard that sound he makes when he likes the look of something, and I knew he was enjoying the view of me and the toy. Which, of course, is one of those things that turns me on immensely.

So, no, as it turns out it's not too big. Not by a long shot. To quote Goldilocks: "It's just right." No, actually, it's more than that -- it's just about perfect.

This toy just keeps getting better and better for me. It has officially become my FAVORITE toy, and I have a lot of toys, so that's saying a lot. Here's what I've come to love about it:

--Now that we've played around with it more, I know exactly how big it is and how heavy, and my body is more welcoming to it. I've come to anticipate the way it slides in, that first moment of fullness when it reaches the first bubble, and that delightful addition that comes at the addition of the second bubble until it's hilted. At first, it still feels almost too big -- in that delightful way -- but as play continues, it creates a perfect feeling of fullness and pleasure.

--It's incredibly easy to clean, and very durable. I accidentally knocked it against the counter after cleaning, and it didn't dent, break or even scratch it. I have lost my fear that I'm going to break this toy (on the other hand -- I don't recommend using it in the shower, as it might not break if you drop it, but it might very well dent the bathtub).

--It's so very beautiful, still. Every time the boy begins to slide it in, his breath catches in that most delightful way. He loves the look of it going in, and the way that it looks when it's hilted inside me. Which makes me, of course, enjoy the beauty of it even more.

After all this play, this glass plug still a huge hit, pun fully intended. I recommend it, without a single reservation.
