Like most latex toys, this one came with that original rubber smell. I used a alcohol bath to get rid of the smell, and than it never smelled of plastic or rubber again. My Mistress had me put these in for a long car ride, they were so comfortable I forgot they were there after awhile. I used minimal lube when entering them in anally, and no lube when entering them vaginally. I will tell you that the spaces between the balls (where the string and ball meet) became coated in my vaginal juices. It was difficult to remove easily, I used a toothbrush for such hard to reach places. The plus is that it is easily sterilized and since it is all latex can be soak in a bleach bath. For some with multiple partners I wouldn't recommend only having one of these toys, it would be much safer to buy more than one. As it might be hard to make sure all the spaces are effectively clean from one person to another. Since I only use my toys on me, I don't worry about that. I don't really think a toy like this needs much instruction. It's more one of those toys that you use your own imagination. I enjoyed finding new ways, direction, and places I could put this and the outcome was always a positive. I stored this quite easily in a plastic bag in my play drawer.
