The Mood Kinky Tickler from Doc Johnson is a set of vibrating silicone anal beads with a clitoral attachment for clitoral stimulation. You can get these beads in two great colors:Blue & Black. I got mine in blue. This was my very first anal toy so I believe these would work great for a beginner in the anal play area, I personally don't think a more experienced user would get much fulfillment out of these. These beads can be used almost anywhere you would like from the bedroom right up to the shower since the bullet it waterproof.

While I mention that there is a "clitoral attachment" I believe these can be used by men and women alike. Men can use the "clitoral attachment" for testicle stimulation if they chose to purchase these beads. Women would enjoy the patterns of vibrations that the clitoral attachment is capable of.

I would say that the are travel friendly but I personally would only travel with these if I were driving myself or was in a car with friends or family. I wouldn't take these on any type of public transportation as they aren't discreet at all. You will definitely be outed for liking anal play if someone found these babies.

~What's it Made of~
The Mood Kinky Tickler is made out of 100% silicone and plastic, I will break it down for you in parts.

Beads & Tickler
The actual insertable and clitoral stimulation part are made of 100% Silicone. Silicone is known as a non porous material that can be sterilized, has no odor or taste as well. Silicone is Hypoallergenic,Latex Free,Phthalates Free and Non Porous which are all great aspects to look for when purchasing a toy. There is absolutely no texture what so ever on these beads, they are smooth and easy to insert. As with most silicone items there is some drag to the beads but nothing a great lube can't help with. The clitoral attachment has some texture on it in the form of 2 bumps but you won't feel those at all since that part doesn't touch you body, since they are on top of the clitoral attachment. The silicone part has some give to it but not a ton, this isn't a plushy silicone that is for sure. You can bend it with ease but it's still firm enough for easy insertion.

Bullet
The bullet is made out of a hard ABS Plastic which is a Non Porous,Latex Free and Phthalates Free material which can't be sterilized. The bullet is completely smooth, since it is waterproof there is a small silicone ring where you would screw the battery cap back on. Power button is also made of silicone.
Plastic rates an 8/10 of the Eden Safety Scale.

I believe that the texture of both items can be used by beginners,intermediate and advanced users.

I liked the design to the Mood Kinky Tickler, I didn't find it intimidating at all which I have found with several other anal toys. One thing that drew me to this particular set of beads I will say was the clitoral attachment. I loved that there was something for clitoral stimulation without having to deal with adding in a bullet on my own. The clitoral attachment houses the bullet, the bullet measures in at 3 inches long and the clitoral attachment from bottom to the antennas is about 4 inches long. To me the clitoral attachment looks like it has antennas over ears, the antennas are a few centimeters long and had small balls on top of them to stimulate your clitorus or testicles if you are a male bodies person.

The length of the strand of beads measures in at 9.5 inches from the base of where the strand attaches to the clitoral attachment to the first bead on the strand. You have an insertable length of 7.5 inches. Your beads range in size from a few centimeters up to the biggest bead measuring in at 1 inch in diameter.

With everything put together and batteries in the bullet these aren't very heavy at all these babies weigh in at 2.8oz.

I believe that the measurements worked out just fine for myself as a beginner There was enough of the bead strand left to be able to position the clitoral attachment just right without pulling the last bead out. I believe that for some they may want a little more length, so that if you are positioned with your clit further away from your anus that you will be able to use them without having to keep a part of the strand out.
These have no type of realistic look to them at all and they are far from being discreet. I am not sure you would be able to lie your way out of what the Mood Kinky Tickler is unless its a child or teen that is not educated on sex toys.

As I mentioned before I believe this is a good beginner set of beads that offer many aspects that most people look for when it comes to toys. I mentioned above in the opening that I don't believe these would be suitable for travel if you were going on public transportation especially if they do bag searches. However, if you chose to take your Mood Kinky Tickler along for the ride on public transportation for whatever reason, make sure to remove your batteries.


Controls of the Bullet
The bullet is very simple to operate with one single push button on the bottom you are off and ready to go. You are able to choose from TEN awesome functions, depending on what you are looking for. I am going to do my best to explain the vibration patterns below.

1.)Steady low speed of vibration Vroom of 1
2.)Steady medium speed of vibration Vroom of 2
3.)Steady high speed of vibration Vroom of 3-3.5
4.)Low to high escalating pattern
5.)Low pulsating
6.)Medium pulsating
7.)High pulsating
8.)High Fast Pulsating
9.)& 10.) There really isn't a difference in those 2 functions for me to even begin to tell you what they are besides a pulsating vibration.

You can scroll through the patterns at a push of the button, if you scroll through all 10 patterns the bullet will not stop it will just keep going through the patterns. If you need to shut your bullet off, hold the little button down for about 3 seconds and it will turn off the power. Once you turn the bullet to your Mood Kinky Tickler you will have to scroll back through to find the pattern you left off on since there is no memory to start back at the pattern you left off at.


The bullet to the Mood Kinky Tickler is powered by 3 L1154 batteries, these are included when you purchase this item. Once you get your Mood Kinky Tickler take it out of the packaging an open the bottom of the bullet, you will find a small white piece of paper over the battery on the very top, you will want to remove this so the power will work when you turn on your bullet. You can keep the little piece of paper to place back over the batteries to insure your bullet does't get turned on by accident an drains your batteries. If you just so happen to do what I did an let all the batteries accidentally fall out make sure you put them back in right. If you put them in the wrong way your bullet will still vibrate but, it will only be one pattern of vibration and very weak. I noticed the batteries did get warm no matter which way they were put in so if you remove them while storing or because you put them in wrong be careful as they may be warm or hot.

The bullet is kind of a pain to get in and out of the clitoral attachment so please have patience if you want to remove the bullet for cleaning. Your bullet is waterproof, before diving into the tub,shower,pool or wherever you are going to be using these in the water, make sure your O-Ring is properly placed and the battery cap is tight and secure. I personally found the battery cap to be a pain in the ass because you have to line it up a certain way but for that reason it helps make sure you don't accidentally put it on wrong an cancel out the waterproof feature.

I like that these aren't just your simple set of anal beads, they have a clitoral attachment an vibrate! I was more apt to try these since it had the clitoral attachment with vibrating bullet since I like for all my toys to vibrate. Overall these worked out and performed really well. I just wish that the patterns were more distinct an had actual patterns that were different, it seems as if they were all steady vibrations or pulsating on the different speeds.

I found no type of discomfort upon insertion the first few beads slipped in pretty easily with being lubed up very well. Since this was one of my very few anal encounter's and the first on my own with anal beads I was surprised how easily they went in. The only problem I had was getting the last bead in but eventually I was able to get that in as well. If you encounter any discomfort at all or pain stop because that could mean you are tearing something and you don't want that. I have seen people talk about numbing lubes for anal play, I wouldn't ever use one in case something is tearing or hurting I can feel it before it is too late.

Personally, for me I wouldn't try thrusting these especially if you are new to anal play, they didn't slide out with ease when I went to remove them even with all the lube I used.

I used these for about 15 minutes an the little button batteries didn't drain an were still going strong after I was done.

On a scale of 0-5 in the buzz department, I would say these are right at a 1. The Mood Kinky Tickler is really quiet you won't hear it through a door,over a T.V. or music playing in your room. I think that the silicone muffles the noise that the bullet would cause on its own.

Being made of silicone and plastic I would say that you can easily care for your Mood Kinky Tickler with very little issues. With there being two types of materials it would mean, that there are several ways to clean this item. Make sure you clean and disinfect your toys BEFORE & AFTER each and every use, even if they have been stored and come out looking the same way they did when you stored them.

To clean the silicone portion you can use any of the following:
*Dishwasher-Top Rack (remove bullet before doing this)
*Bleach solution-10% bleach to water solution soak your beads for about 2-5 minutes and rinse with hot water (remove bullet before doing this)
*Hot water and antibacterial soap
*Antibacterial toy cleaner-Follow instructions on the bottle
*Boil-Toss in a pot of boiling water for about 10 minutes (remove bullet before doing this)
If you are going to boil,soak or use dishwasher I would recommend removing your bullet especially when being exposed to high temperatures as it can damage the motors within the bullet.

To clean plastic portion:
*Wash with hot water and antibacterial soap
*Wipe down with alcohol
*Use Antibacterial toy cleaner

Any of the above ways of cleaning you need to let them dry completely before storing either you can pat dry with a lint free towel or lay them flat to dry on a towel.
Match Made in Heaven
If you are looking for a match made in Heaven for your Mood Kinky Tickler anal beads, use a water based lube. These beads aren't compatible with any other lube, if you use anything aside from water based lubricant you are running a risk of destroying and breaking down your material.

Store away from other toys, you don't want your silicone beads to melt if they end up having a chemical reaction with another silicone item or any other item in your toy drawer. I store my beads in the packaging they arrived in for the time being.

You will receive your Mood Kinky Tickler inside a black box that has bright array of colors on it. The packaging in nowhere near discreet, it states on the package that these are vibrating anal beads with clitoral stimulator. There are green,pink,blue,yellow,orange and purple raised dots that go all the way around the top portion of the box. You will find elegant "swirl" designs all over the box as well. On the back you can see the features,material,cleaning and lubricant details.



It states in several places that these beads have 10 functions,waterproof,silicone,dual stimulation and body safe.

The bottom of the box gives you all the information you need on the manufacture. It states on the bottom that these are sold as a novelty item only.

I found absolutely no instructions inside this package.

When you remove your Mood Kinky Tickler it will be in a plastic clam shell that is made to snap the beads into place for storage without them falling out. The beads are easy to remove from this shell and they are easy to reinsert for storage.


I believe the box is great for gift giving since it is bright and inviting! I would not give these to someone in front of people though since the packaging is in no way discreet. If you choose not to keep the packaging you can recycle the plastic and cardboard.

I used these solo and found the best way to insert them was standing up and kind of squatted. I used a water based lube that wasn't thick enough so I had to use tons of it, so I will be on the hunt for a new lube for anal play. I was anxious and nervous when I started using these as I haven't had an enjoyable anal experience with the few times I have tried with partners. Using these alone I didn't have to worry about failing someone if I didn't like the sensation or felt pain an needed to stop. I was at my own pace and comfort level which was great!!!
