Butt hungry - butt plug discontinued by NMC Ltd - review by Ukulele Guy

First things first: the name. As soon as I saw the words "Butt Hungry," I knew I had to have it if for no other reason than the sheer novelty. Yes, I laughed when I saw it. And yes, after almost a year of owning it, I still find the name hilarious.

The packaging says the toy is five inches (5"), but after measuring it, I found it's actually four and three-quarters inches (4 3/4"). With the base itself taking up about a quarter inch of the total length, the shaft (insertable length) is only four and a half inches (4 1/2"). When measured at the widest points, the base is two and seven-eighths inches (2 7/8") by one and three-quarter inches (1 3/4"). Both of the side holes in the base are five-eighths of an inch (5/8") in diameter which is just about wide enough to snugly hold a bullet vibrator - depending on the type of bullet you have. There's a third hole just underneath the shaft that is a half inch (1/2") in diameter and just under a half inch deep. I'm not sure how that one might be used, but learning is half the fun.

This toy is made from TPR silicone, which means that it should only be used with water-based lubricants. The material also transfers a vibration like a lightning rod, which is why I highly recommend also getting a bullet if you don't already have one. One of my favorite things to do with this toy is to put a bullet in each of the base's holes so the buzz goes straight to my p-spot. When cleaning this toy, keep it simple with soap (water-based only), water, and a washcloth for anything that doesn't rinse off on its own.

Storing "Butt Hungry!" is a simple task. You can even keep it in its original packaging if you like. Despite looking like one of those blister packs you'd have to annihilate with your scissors to open, the plastic container can easily be opened and closed by hand with no damage done. The container is also relatively flat and can be wrapped up in something (let's say an old folded sweater) for added discretion. For those who would prefer not to keep the original packaging, just make sure to store the toy somewhere clean and dry and away from dust.

There are some downsides to this product. Chief among these, is that the Butt Hungry plug is a plug only in name. While its relatively narrow shaft is great for more sensitive beginners, it can be difficult to keep inside without using at least one hand to hold it (or sitting on it the whole time). Another downside is that the base can start to hurt your cheeks after a while when attempting to let this toy "plug" you. The material tends to pull at the skin if it gets dry, much like a jelly toy might. In the absence of lube, I tend to use this toy in the shower in order to prevent as much friction as possible. For those of you looking for something to wear as a strap-on, you might want to keep looking. The base would hold it in a ring harness, but the insertable length would be further decreased. To be honest, you might be better off putting a little lube on your finger (with a glove on it to keep things sanitary). I give these suggestions because I have yet to find the best way to use this toy.

The previous toy I reviewed was the much thicker Colt Stallion Tail Smooth which you'll have to check the review for if you want to know just how much thicker. At first, the Butt Hungry plug was such a step down that it didn't really satisfy me. After a while, I found it was a great way to prime myself before moving on to a bigger toy. It's great when I want to take things easy and not push myself when using a toy. And like I said before, a bullet vibrator works like magic with it.

Even with its setbacks, I do like this toy. I find myself coming back to it frequently to use it again and again.
