Pro-pal for men - prostate massager discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by Yojimbo42

This is a very difficult review for me to write. I believe this toy performed its task well, and as advertised. Unfortunately it would seem that prostate stimulation does not provide me with any more pleasure than my regular routine. In fact I believe I prefer the simplicity and thrusting capability of a dildo, or better yet a ribbed dildo.

The Pro Pal|Pro-pal for men has a maximum diameter of about 1 1/2" and insertable length of about 3 1/2". I wouldn’t recommend this toy for those new to anal toys|Anal Toys for Men, but with a little experience Pro Pal can be easily taken. I purchased the black one, and while I imagine the white one has a very smooth plastic feeling surface, the black one does not. It has a matte finish and an interesting texture, there is a certain softness that I cannot describe easily. The closest thing I can come up with is velvety.

The attached handle on the base allows for a good grip, whether you are rocking it back and forth against the prostate or moving it up and down. I felt that there wasn’t enough length to get much of a thrusting motion going, so if that’s what you’re looking for I suggest you move on to something else. I could definitely feel it hitting my prostate, but the problem for me was that it wouldn’t stay there. The neck on this toy is not significantly thinner than the thickest part, so it does not stay in place as other massagers reportedly do.

Despite that, I feel this toy is lacking in only one area: vibrating. Being plastic, I imagine the vibrations would carry through the toy very well, and perhaps would increase how pleasurable I found it. But alas, as another reviewer mentioned, this probably was not included so that they could keep their costs down.

Cleaning this toy is a cinch, hot water and antibacterial soap. I've only used the toy three or four times, so I'm hoping that I will realize any nuances to the Pro Pal as time goes on. I was really hoping to fall in love with this toy and prostate massage in general, unfortunately that didn't happen, at least not yet.
