This is still one of our favorite bit gags. We still prefer a ball gag over this one, but as far as bit gags go, this is one of the most comfortable ones. It doesn't gag all the way, and it makes swallowing much easier than others. It does require a bit of extra cleaning, but we've taken the steps for the extra cleaning, so it looks just as nice as when we first got it.

Great review! I have this gag as well and love love love it. I did want to mention though that it really isn't too great of an idea to keep it stored in the plastic bag, leather needs to breathe in order to stay in top form.
