Handcrafted leather bit gag - mouth gag discontinued by Sinvention - review by Mirachaya

Though bit gags are often meant for pony play. Sinventions leather bit gag is a nice alternative to the popular ball gag. With a five inch long bit you hold between your teeth, it is unlikely to dig into the corners of your mouth. The softer material holds powerfully to a submissive's bite and lasts comfortably for quite a while.

This gag is handstitched and the quality shows impressively. The leather is soft and supple with a gentle smell. The straps allow adjustment from 14 to 21 inches, fitting most heads and it has the option to be locked in the back. I would only recommend locking someone in to a gag if there is an alternative form of safeword available and if the partners have built up a lot of trust.

The gag muffles sounds but I can sort-of speak around it if I try hard enough. You won't get complete silence out of your submissive with this gag but soft moans of pleasure and pain. It seems durable as I've yet to leave any bite marks on it.

Being made of leather, this gag is pretty easy to care for with it simply needing to be wiped down with a damp cloth if needed. Leather cleaner may be used on the straps that hold it in place but not the bit as most leather cleaners are toxic. The metal hardware is able to be washed with soap and water, I have yet to see signs of tarnishing despite not having dried it immediately each time. This bit gag has no special storage requirements.

The packaging was a simple clear bag and it had a Sinventions tag labeling the product attached to it. These were easily disposed of and the gag spirited away into our hidden collection of treasures. The packaging wasn't discreet in that you could see the contents through it, though.

The metal o-rings on the corners of the bit are good for attaching tethers or reins. I have not participated much in the way of pony play with this gag so I cannot give an accurate opinion of how it would hold out, yet it seems sturdy enough. We did once attach a tether to both sides and tug on it a little. The gag stayed comfortably in place during my boyfriend's test.

This gag is our favorite gag we've tried so far(of three) and we plan on keeping it in our collection for a long time to come. It is a beautiful, professional looking piece that we will be taking along to play parties in the future.
